Johnny Depp Confirmed for 21 Jump Street Cameo

Johnny Depp will make an uncredited cameo in the new 21 Jump Street flick, Entertainment Weekly reports.
The TV series, which ran from 1987-1990, made the dreamy Depp a star. Now, Channing Tatum, Dave Franco (James' bro) and Jonah Hill will star in the re-make.
Tatum will play Officer Tom Hanson (Depp's role on the TV show), who, just like in the series, goes undercover as a high school student to fight youth crime. No word on who Depp will play in the big-screen version.

A cameo from Depp has been speculated about for the better part of a year. In an interview last year, the superstar spoke to EW about the possibility.
“Someone will say, ‘Whatever happened to Tom Hanson?’ and they’ll find me somewhere hoarding jars of peanut butter and shaking in my underpants,†he said.
