Jon Gosselin Loses Fight To Keep His 8 Off The Air, Apologizes For Putting Them On TV In The First Place

Oct 15, 2010 12:25 PM

jongosselintwitter.jpg

Jon Gosselin is taking his fight to protect his children's privacy public, posting a very long and involved statement on his Twitter after a judge recently denied his plea to take his children off the air.

Even though Jon was once a willing participant in having his eight kids star with him and then-wife Kate on their hit TLC show Jon & Kate Plus 8, now that Kate is embarking on a show of her own, featuring the children, he's had a change of heart.

In a statement, the out-of-work dad says:

"As you may or may not be aware, I have been working for some time to remove my children from television. I do not believe being on TV is beneficial to any of them. They are no longer toddlers that are oblivious to what is going on around them. They are now six and ten, in school and desperately in need of a normal life.

Each of them has experienced negative effects of having their lives so public. Some are struggling with emotional and/or behavioral issues. My goal for my children is for them to have a normal childhood, and gain back their much deserved privacy. This is not about money, this is about my children. No amount of money is worth the price my children are paying. You cannot put a price on childhood. Money comes and goes, but you only have one childhood.

For those questions about money and support, I can say I am supporting my children to the best of my ability. All parties involved know the truth about this. I am and have been actively seeking employment. I have been barred from accepting entertainment deals that would generate income for my family due to contractual obligations. I am also actively looking for a job outside of the entertainment industry and so far, have not secured a position. In the mean time, I have been focusing on spending time with my children and providing a safe, stable, normal and private environment for them!

On October 13, 2010, I went to court to act in the best interest of my children- to remove them from television. The judge respectfully denied my plea, and granted filming rights to their mother. I honor the judge’s decision, but I do not support it. I will not stop fighting to remove my children from television. It is not a child’s job to support themselves, or a lifestyle, they need to be kids. I would like to apologize to my friends, family, and especially my children for not taking a stand earlier in my life and not questioning my decisions to have our lives documented and displayed. I will have to answer to my children for the rest of my life. I will have to live with this guilt the rest of my life. I am truly sorry!"

Jon sounds incredibly sincere about the fact that he's just trying to protect his children. But we can't help but think that he may have felt differently were he allowed to launch his own show starring his adorable eight children...

Kate Gosselin Claims Her Kids Can't Stand Staying At Jon's Place

Sep 10, 2010 01:00 PM

katejonfight.jpg

Kate Gosselin said that every time her eight kids spend the night at their dad Jon's NYC bachelor pad, "I basically wait for the phone call from how many of them want to come home."

Igniting a new war of words between Kate and her ex-husband Jon, Kate explained to Regis and Kelly this morning that it "is not [their] home; it doesn't feel like home to them ... they want to be at home -- in their house," which is now Kate's house in Pennsylvania. She also insinuated that Jon hadn't been spending much time with his children until recently. "It's only been three months that he's actually been spending time with them and taking them."

Jon, who's been staying out of the spotlight as of late, lashed out as his ex via Twitter:

As much as I want to respond to numerous LIES recently claimed on Regis and Kelly, I will refrain. I have learned from the past that it’s a waste of my time and energy. I am “rising above”, and refuse to engage in any sort of public argument that could potentially harm or upset my children. My children and the people in my life know the truth, and that is what’s important.

Jon Gosselin Shapes Up For Summer

Jul 21, 2010 11:10 AM

johngosselinbeach.jpg The Situation he is not, but he's definitely getting a Most Improved award!

Jon Gosselin hit the beach in Ocean City, New Jersey the other day, and we don't know where his beer belly went, but we're certainly not missing it! A pal close to the reality star tells In Touch Weekly, "Jon's made time for himself. Jon’s own dad never took care of himself and died at an early age, so Jon is doing whatever he can to ensure he’ll be around for his kids as long as possible.”

Of course, it can't help but attract the ladies too, right? After getting with a hottie like Hailey Glassman, it looks like Jon wants to aim higher!

After his messy split from his wife Kate last year, Jon apparently stopped going to the gym had a bit of a midlife crisis, which included hitting the clubs, heavy drinking and smoking lots and lots of cigarettes. His pal added, “He feels better and looks better than ever.”

Jon Gosselin Fires Attorney

Apr 22, 2010 11:03 AM

gosselin2logo.jpg

Jon Gosselin has fired his attorney Anthony List, and he's letting the world know via Twitter. The father of eight tweets:

Mr. Anthony List Sr., Esq. is not my representing attorney; I terminated him on April 15, 2010. He has no legal right to speak to the press or anyone on my behalf.

List, whose been handling Jon's custody case, has been very vocal over the last few weeks about Kate's parenting skills previously telling X17online:

"I don't find any fault with her lifestyle, just her parenting. That's what I'm concered with as Jon's lawyer. Hollywood has had too much influence on the decisions she's made as a mother. It's a lifestyle that's a very unique one. But it's a problem when she starts using the children because she's angry with Jon. Putting a gym in her home to practice dancing doesn't make her a good parent. She is where she is today because of those eight children."

As for Jon's next plan of attack, he tweets:

Kate, her attorneys and I are moving forward to work out things privately and amicably.

Calls to Anthony List have not yet been returned.

X17 XCLUSIVE - Jon Gosselin "Not Happy" About Rumors Kate Might Relocate To LA

Apr 14, 2010 04:02 PM

jongosselinpg.jpg Rumors have been swirling that Kate Gosselin may be permanently relocating to the West Coast. The mother of eight has been kicking up her heels on Dancing With the Stars, and a source close to the show tells X17online that "Kate is loving the Hollywood life."

Jon Gosselin's lawyer, Anthony F. List tells X17online exclusively:

"Jon is not happy about her relocating anywhere. He's having a hard enough time seeing the children as it is. The law in Pennsylvania is very clear that if you make a move like that, 3,000 miles away, it's not something that the court supports. If it's for the children's best interest to move, then the courts have authority to grant the request."

List says Jon opened up to him saying, "I miss the kids, and she won't let me spend time with them." Jon's lawyer adds, "A lot of times, the kids will cry to their mother because they miss their dad, and she's pretty hard-nosed about it."

Wednesday morning in Pennsylvania, Jon's brother-in-law spoke out regarding, what he believes, were violations of the state's child labor laws. According to his argument, the Gosselins' eight kids didn't have work permits to film Jon & Kate Plus 8. But after an investigation, state officials decided not to file charges...as long as it doesn't happen again.

Neither Jon, nor Kate, attended the hearing. As for Kate's possible move to LA, sources tell X17online that the 35-year-old has been eyeing homes in the Hollywood Hills.

X17 XCLUSIVE - Jon Plus Kate Equals May Court Date

Apr 12, 2010 12:45 PM

jonkatenewcourtdate.jpg

Jon and Kate will be in court sooner than later. X17online exclusively has learned that a court date has been set for May 25 at The Berks County Courthouse in Reading, Pennsylvania, in which the Gosselins will me meet face to face regarding child support and custody.

Jon's lawyer Anthony F. List tells X17online exclusively that Jon continuously gets rejected by Kate when it comes to visiting their eight kids:

"He wanted to spend this weekend with the kids and she said no. She wanted the nannies to watch them instead."

As for the strained communication between the two exes, he says, "They talk on a need-to-talk basis, for scheduling ... because there are constant changes with the children’s schedules."

Regarding child support, List quips, "I want to hear what she’s making. Child support is what both parents make. There is no question that the calculations will show that Kate is making substantially more money than Jon."

Some reports have hinted that Jon will partner with Kate in an upcoming show. List fires back saying, "He never said he wanted to be a part of it. There has not been any offer made, but he’s going to consider anything that’s a good faith offer. He likes his reality shows, so I think he’d be into that."

As for TLC speaking to Jon regarding a show, List confirms, "They have been in communication with him."

X17 XCLUSIVE - Jon Gosselin's Attorney Speaks Out On Custody Battle

Apr 7, 2010 01:43 PM

jongosselinrob.jpgJon Gosselin is going after primary custody of the eight children that he shares with Kate Gosselin, according to his attorney Anthony F. List.

Kate's ex filed the papers in a Pennsylvania courthouse today. In regards to the filing, List tells X17online exclusively:

"She is no longer the final arbitrator when it comes to the kids. Her position as the final arbitrator ended at approximately 3 o'clock (EST) when these documents were filed. When Kate Gosselin went back to LA for Dancing With the Stars, Jon called her right away and said look, I'll move in. I'll watch the kids while your gone. Kate said no."

Jon is also asking the Pennsylvania courts to review the couple's current child support order - which forces him to pay $20,000 a month. List says, "It's ridiculous. It's contrary to the law in Pennsylvania. I don't think Donald Trump could pay that kind of support!"

As for Kate's parenting skills, List tells X17online:

"I don't find any fault with her lifestyle, just her parenting. That's what I'm concered with as Jon's lawyer. Hollywood has had too much influence on the decisions she's made as a mother. It's a lifestyle that's a very unique one. But it's a problem when she starts using the children because she's angry with Jon. Putting a gym in her home to practice dancing doesn't make her a good parent. She is where she is today because of those eight children."

List expects the custody case to resume within the next two weeks.

Playgirl Inches Closer To Signing Jon Gosselin

Mar 5, 2010 11:03 AM

jongosselinpg.jpg Kate Gosselin may be turning up the heat on the dance floor for Dancing With The Stars, but hold on to your drawers! Her ex-hubby Jon may soon be burning up the pages of Playgirl Magazine.

We spoke to Playgirl this morning, and it sounds like Mr. Gosselin has been given a very unique offer, but his size (or lack thereof) may get in the way. The mag's rep Daniel Nardicio tells X17online:

"Jon's a novelty. He's not really hot. Levi [Johnston] is really hot. Jon has a reputation of having a small penis and again, he's not that hot. We've offered him $20,000. He told us that's not much money. We told him $20,000 is $20,000. You could go to NYC for a year with that kind of money!"

Nardicio says Jon told the mag he'd think about it, and he tells X17online exclusively that they've extended an even better offer to the reality star:

"For every inch more than four, we'll give him an additional $10,000."

But given those size rumors, Jon may be better off just grabbing the $20k and striking a pose!

Speaking of getting naked, Levi Johnston continues to reap the benefits of posing for Playgirl. We're told Mr. Johnson is signing copies of his semi-naked issue at Borders Book store in Anchorage, Alaska today. And wouldn't you know it, the magazine signing is being captured for Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D List.

Playgirl tells us that Levi's issue is completely sold out...a success that the mag hasn't seen in 25 years. When you add the money Levi was given up front for the shoot, plus residuals on both the magazine and Pay-Per-View sales, he's expected to make over 6-figures.

Put down those twinkies, Jon. Time to start hittin' the gym!
