Jon Gosselin Sued By TLC For Breach Of Contract

Jon’s lawyer contacted TLC the day the network recast the show as “Kate Plus 8″ and demanded that they release him from the “exclusivity” provision of the contract despite the fact that Jon was still drawing his full salary.

TMZ reports the suit claims Jon’s laywer gave an ultimatum to either release his client from the exclusivity clause within one hour, or Jon would block the filming of the TLC show on grounds it was “detrimental to his children.”

Hope they smack him down hard!!

I'm not surprised, of course they were going to sue him, he breached his contract with TLC.

I actually think they have a pretty solid case considering that Jon says one thing and does another. Within days of saying that being filmed is 'detrimental to his children' he had ET film him and his children at the twins birthday party. Hypocrite much?

The tragic part is that these 2 greedy parents and the giant greedy TLC/Discovery corp. is robbing these kids of a childhood. Childhood goes by so quickly, before you know your kids are grown. They're missing precious moments and precious memories because this whole scenario has blinded everyone involved as to what's really important in life. Just sad and tragic.

the tragic part of this is that this a** seems to have inspired another fame wh*ring dad with the father of the balloon boy. these two should not have the right to procreate.

I agree Kate isn't perfect, but Jon is a poster child for a mid life crisis - earrings, grung t-shirts, motorcycles, vacations with 20 year old girls..... At least Kate appears to be staying true to her kids. Jon has proven that he is nothing but a self centered punk stuck in a 30+ year old body. Does he think his kids can't see the difference in him?

Jon is showing exactly what a low-life he really is. What an incredible hypocrite! I hate to see the show go off the air because of him. You have to remember that the kids aren't filmed all day every day and that most of their time is without cameras rolling. This show gives them so many opportunities that they never would have had and has paid for their college careers (unless Jon has managed to get his hands on that money to spend on his girlfriend) I think Kate it doing a great job keeping things going despite all the turmoil. Good for her!

I do not read any comments here regarding the harsh, disrespectful, yelling, gripping, can do nothing right - that Kate portrayed every single episode towards her husband on the show. I only wonder how worse she treated him when the cameras were not running. I'm sorry but I do not believe for one second she is the 'innocent victim' she is portraying on every opportunity for air time she gets.

Jon can't do anything right. He's a schleprock.
