The only one crying and wailing about the filming stopping is Kate. She loves the money, limelight and attention. All she needs to do is go back to being a nurse and work like millions of other parents. She is spoiled, opportunistic and selfish.

Jon's attorney said they were going to fight this in the public court, they want this in the media... How could any Man deplete funds in a joint account? Oh yeah... a really selfish one.

Other commenters don't seem to realize that no matter HOW much money you make, if your spouse takes ALL of it, and on top of that has the ability to keep you from making more then you can't pay your bills. During a divorce proceedings selling of the assets is not allowed, so Kate would not be able to sell their Pennsylvania home for money, even if she wanted to.

It's been said elsewhere that Kate should go back to nursing, but I wonder if any of those people understand that little money would be left for the kids after paying for daycare for 8.

Kate is resourceful, and I'm sure if the current show is cancelled permanently she will find another TV show venue. But in the meantime, it's sure causing a huge problem in her money flow, and more importantly the money she needs to take care of her children.

So, they both can handle their divorce with more dignity. However, it is pretty obvious to me, at least, that this woman was stuck raising 9 children, while only getting paid for 8. If it isn't obvious by now, Jon is an idiot who is incapable of serving in a parental role. No wonder this woman is so bitter about her relationship with him, though there is no excuse for her reported diva behaviour. Though I hate for the children suffer any further in all of this, the show is an important source of income for them and it is obvious that Kate may be the only one who can provide some financial assistance to care for them, since Jon is obviously a dead end.

People, you don't know what kind of bills they really have. Spending $50K on bills is easy for some.

I actually am on Kate's side. She is home with the kids, only travels when it is for work or an interview, she doesn't host stupid parties in Las Vegas, she doesn't go on TV stating that she wants production of the show stopped because it's better for the kids, and that she wants to spend time with the kids, and then go off to California to be 'seen' like Jon did. Jon is a totall a$$hole. Everything will come out in court when their accounts are gone over with a fine tooth comb. Kate will come out smelling like a rose and Jon smelling like manure.

She takes money out to keep it safe and is told to put it back...then he fucking steals it. Team KATE! Although I do have reservations about the show, since I don't watch it, it provides income to the family plus for that giant house of theirs. Hopefully her extra money set aside will help a little bit. She needs to get that money back, go to her lawyer and minimize the amount of visitation for John for her kids, since he's not a very good role model right now. John needs to get a real job (back doing IT stuff) to support his family and not rely on her or TLC for income. He's a POS.

All I'm going to say is that if her kids are as much of a priority to her as she says, she'll find a way to provide for them. It might mean cutting back (only getting basic cable rather than the premeir package, temperature in the house, running water/bathing multiple kids at the same time, renting a room in her house out). The chances to cut back and save are endless. You can talkmall day about not wanting to go back to a frugal lifestyle, but in life, things happen and you have to roll with the punches. Sometimes you have to sacrifice. I know people who work three jobs to support multiple kids who don't complain as much as Kate does. It won't be long before all of her children are in school... let's see if she is still complaining then about a lack of income. Daycare expenses will then no longer be an excuse. There are ways to cut back and sacrifice... she just needs to be willing to do so.

The Judge who is over seeing this, should Take a percentage of what Both make from the show,put it in a trust for the kids Give both parents a allowence after giving the judge proof of what their monthly spending is to live. Any extra like, new car, traveling, they need to come up with. Get jobs. Others do it who are not that wealthy and make it work. Jon and Kate are loving the money and the attention. Free clothes, food, travels, etc from companies..

While I agree with some of the comments here, quite a few folks do not know what they are talking about. A nurse and IT specialist do not make that much in Ohio (we border PA for those of who don't know). I am an RN....for 28yrs now....some of those years were full time and some part time; right now...teachers make more than me! And I just checked with the hubby on how much his IT guy makes....&35,000/year. SO WHAT they want their children to live in a nice home....lots of jealous people posting here.
And the earlier post stating that she would not be able to sell the home in PA because of the pending divorce is absolutely true. Also, any debt he incurs is also hers now...thats how it worked for several of my friends and sister who husbands did the exact same thing Jon did.
I commend Kate for hanging in there....I told my family tonight her kids will probably be the best at following directions in their kindergarten class because SHE has made them....something, as a school nurse, I do NOT see very often these days. She makes them behave and calls them on it when they do not...and for this she is call the"B" word....probably by those same parents who do not do any disciplining and then verbally attack the school when their little angels get in trouble.
