Be willing to bet this is about him getting more money out of Kate, or TLC. I don't care for either one of them but, he does seem like a real scumball. It probably is best for the kids but, I don't think this is more about money, than the welfare of the kids. I can't stand to look at him anymore. This man is not doing this for the sake of his kids...You just watch, they throw a couple of extra dollars his way and his kids will be back on the show...Between both parents, these kids will never have privacy...they will always be exploited...its the only way they can afford all 8 kids.

This guy is the most disgusting loser in America. K-Fed has nothing on him. He suddenly realized, once TLC tried to unload him, that he no longer wanted them to film the kids. He is such a douchebag, this is all about money. If they didn't cut him off financially, but offered him a generous settlement, there wouldn't have been a peep out of him. Kate and the kids would be better off without him - AND I can see what Kate had to deal with all those years, good grief, the woman deserves a metal for putting up with this idiot.

According to another site, this has little to do with the kids. It's more about TLCs not cutting ties with Jon, and not allowing him to do another show without their permission. Also, TLC consented to paying Kate the full amount of money, with or without Jon, and I imagine Jon wants his share of it. TLC has shut it down, 'til Jon and Kate can work things out. I say, stop all the coverage on it, and let it all fade away into the sunset.

Have you seen the show lately? The kids are very spoiled, jaded, and rude now. It's the result of being brought up by TLC network. No one is teaching them right or wrong. They are encouraged to act like monkeys on camera.

Jon did it on purpose to get himself fired. So he could get his kids out of the contract with TLC. What else can you do to get out of the contract? This is the quickest way to do. Get yourself fired first then the contract is no longer valid. You can terminate the production as a parent not as an TLC employee or contractor.

If you are an employee/contractor and you want to terminate the contract, TLC can sue you and you might not win.

When they are under TLC contract, TLC runs his family.
