Jonathan Rhys Meyers is seeking comfort with friends while in London following his alleged suicide attempt.

The 33-year-old Tudors' actor, seen here chatting with a friend and chain smoking in London, was transported by ambulance back in June after reportedly taking a large amount of pills. The Sun reported at the time that it was an attempted suicide.

The Tudors star Jonathan Rhys Meyers, 33, was rushed to the hospital after a reported suicide attempt this morning, according to The Sun.

The British actor is said to have taken a bottle full of pills at his $6 million mansion Tuesday night before calling paramedics who found him slumped on the floor upon answering his emergency call.

Paramedics reportedly had to call the police after Meyers refused treatment for more than 30 minutes. The Sun quotes a source as saying, "This is very sad. It was the opinion of those present that he tried to take his life."

Meyers, who has battled a drinking problem for years, was eventually taken to a hospital near his Central London home. Upon his release he told the paper, when asked how he was doing: "No comment."

Earlier this month the actor checked into a give-star rehabilitation center in South Africa -- his fifth stint in rehab.

Jonathan Rhys Meyers, star of The Tudors, has checked into rehab to seek treatment for alcohol addiction, according to The Daily Mirror.

The site says the 33-year-old actor spent over a week at a London clinic just last month. A source adds Meyers was "guzzling" several vodka cocktails at the JFK Airport in New York last week.

When he was trying to board his plane to LA, the United Airlines staff reportedly wouldn't allow him on the flight because he was allegedly intoxicated. The Mirror claims this resulted in Meyers launching into a verbal tirade.

"We work hard every day with our church on healing," he said. "Kelly and I and Ella have all been working very hard and they've been helping us."

Jonathan Rhys Meyers has checked into rehab, according to Ireland's Independent newspaper. After missing numerous awards ceremonies in the UK (for which his critically acclaimed Showtime series, The Tudors was nominated), the actor has checked into a rehab facility in England.

The next season of the show begins production this June, so hopefully the Irish hottie can get his life back together by then - we'll be rooting for him!
