Julia Stiles Shoots Down Rumors She Split Up Michael C. Hall's Marriage

After it was announced that Dexter actors Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter were getting a divorce, rumors began to pop up that co-star Julia Stiles was the reason behind their shocking split.
Not so, says Stiles, and she released the following statement on the matter:
- "I have absolutely nothing to do with the split between Michael and Jennifer. We are good friends and enjoyed working together. This is a personal matter between them, and we should respect their privacy. Although I too prefer to keep my private life private, I felt compelled to dispel the rumors I was somehow the cause for this matter."
Jennifer Carpenter filed her petition for divorce today, and according to court documents, she lists their date of separation is listed as August 9, 2010. Carpenter cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split, and she is asking for spousal support and for attorney's fees.
