Posted on Wed Sep 23, 2009 07:55 AM PDT
Justin Timberlake will play Sean Parker, Facebook’s founding president in the new film about the social networking website. Though it was rumored that Shia LaBeouf and Michael Cera were in talks for the role of founder Mark Zuckerberg, Variety reports that newcomer Jesse Eisenberg has snagged the gig, and Andrew Garfield will play Eduardo Saverin, the Facebook co-founder who fell out with Zuckerberg when the site took off.
The flick focuses on the evolution of Facebook and how it's overnight success and wealth changed the lives of the classmates who created it. Production will begin next month in Boston and then move to Los Angeles.

Jesse Eisenberg is not a newcomer, he's been acting on television and movies for 10 years! Get your facts straight X-17!!
jesse who? it's pretty sad when JT is the biggest name they can get for the movie!
What a waste of film. Who's numbnuts idea for a movie was this? Look for this movie at your local Redbox machine.
Ugh, the guy has no music talent so now they're unleashing him on movies. Used to be you needed acting talent and charisma (not to mention looks) to be a film actor, not just tabloid buzz and a pr machine. This is why movies mostly suck.
