There isn't a Britney Spears fan out there who doesn't wish every day that she would get back together with Justin Timberlake, and now, Mouseketeers, it could happen!
Ever since Britney filed for divorce from husband Kevin Federline in November, fans have been counting down to the demise of the relationship between the "Sexy Back" singer and Cameron Diaz, and it has finally happened!
Timeberlake, 25, just pulled the plug on his almost four-year romance with paparazzi kung foo kicking Diaz, 34, and spent the holidays partying with an old girlfriend in Tennessee, while Cameron was knee-deep in snow in chilly Colorado. This was like waving a red-flag of trouble in front of the media, who knew historically the couple usually vacationed together over the holidays, with their various family members in tow.
But now it seems that there is more than enough wiggle room for Britney to make her way back to Justin. Timberlake is clearly not over thinking about his days with Spears, 25, having penned two songs about his break up with her, "Cry Me a River," and most recently, "What Goes Around [Comes Around]."
It's no secret that Britney's mom Lynne has been wishing for the two to get back together. The pop stars mom has told friends, "They were perfect for each other, but just too young to be so serious." Well mom, they're both older and wiser, and Britney is tired of Justin wannabes like KFed in her life and wants the real thing.
Sources say Britney's plan of attack is to lure Justin into the recording studio to do a duet for her upcoming album. Says a Britney insider, "Everyone knows that's the easiest way to get the ball rolling between them." Soon to be single Spears is also telling her mom Lynne to call his mom Lynn Harless to get the lines of communication going. "Britney is picturing them accidentially 'bumping into' each other at a club, and those old sparks flying again. With Cameron out of the picture, she's determined to make it happen!"
