He's relevant because people like his music. He's been relevant since 2001 when he started producing hit records for other people and in 2004 when he started making hits for himself. He had hits last year too. Even his own fans don't like him as an individual very much but they love his music. As long as the music is good, they don't care.
And to say that he has "horrible soul" is a little far-fetched don't you think?
