Kanye West Swears Off Awards Shows

Even a year after the Taylor Swift/VMA debacle, Kanye West is swearing off awards shows.
"I’ll never go on stage again," he told Ellen Degeneres in an interview airing today. "I’ll never sit in an award show again.”
Whoa -- so Kanye won't even attend any awards shows in the future? Or will he just be hanging out backstage?
The humbled Kanye, who apologized yesterday via Twitter if he didn't offend EVERYBODY with his outrageous album artwork, went on to explain just where he disappeared to after the last award show debacle.
“It’s a pretty bugged out story," he started. "I left America. I stopped doing music all together. I just took some time. I went to Japan just so I could get away from paparazzi all together. Then, in November, I moved to Rome and just lived there and when I came back to the states I moved to Hawaii. I lived there for about six months and just worked on music,” Kanye said.
His new album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, drops November 22nd. He performed his new single off the album, Runaway, on the 2010 MTV VMAs in September, which may have been his last awards show performance EVER!
Although we somehow doubt it!

He'll still be nominated and win awards, so look forward to losing to someone who can take a dump on your treasured trophies. I think it's funny how he's trying to make people feel bad for him when he was the one who ruined Taylor Swift's acceptance moment.
