I think that it is the other way around. Mario is into Karina. He took her to the AMA awards, his sister's house in Houston for Thanksgiving AND a 5-day trip to Mexico, just the two of them. Karina is the one who keeps saying its "wishful thinking" that they are dating, whereas he's had nothing but wonderful things to say about her. The whole display she put on in the video was very disrespectful to Mario and whatever there relationship is. Maybe she was just using him to get attention for her career.

That would've been her opportunity to say yes, but it sounded as if, "I like him as a friend." Why would Mario take her to his sister's house and on vacation if he wasn't interested in her? The missing link to this story showed up in "In Touch" this weekend. Mario was in Florida w/ his cousin and his wife Dec. 3 and was seen chatting/hugging with an attractive brunette for a few hours. Karina is definitely trying to get Mario's attention or match him "tic for tac" every time he is "with" someone else, it seems.

Mario and Karina were seen kissing at the Maxim Hot 100 party at the end of last week-days after Karina was shot kissing that other guy. Mario still maintains that he and Karina are just "friends out for a good time." That's what he told People magazine. According the National Enquirer (so who knows how true this story is) Karina was furious at the pictures that were released of Mario and her in Mexico and accused him of setting it up for publicity. Allegedly, Mario dumped her right after the vacation. And the pictures with this guy "Matt" at her are an attempt to show Mario she moved on. What's weird is that a couple of days after these pictures with "Matt" Mario and Karina were spotted kissing at the Maxim 100 party. It seems like game playing all the way around. Mario was in Vegas from Dec. 29 through New Year's Day. Obviously, he chose to spend New Year's Eve w/Karina. Now, that's Thanksgiving and New Year's Eve...two major holidays they've been together. It's hard to figure out whether they are just having a good time or really trying to give this relationship a chance. Will he still dog her?

he didn't downplay the reports in a press interview for miss america. it never said that. they would've had quotes of him downplaying the rumors if that was the case. the article was discussing certain things about mario and all they said was that mario has indeed, in the past downplayed reports of a romance because the article is just giving info about recent things happening with mario. as far as their ralationship now, things appear, especially after new years, to have changed since then. and he hasn't denied it in a while but they're confusing, so ,we'll see if they try and lie again!

check out the paparazzi video coming out of social recently posted by x17. he seems, with that smile, and answer, to being alot closer to admitting it then he used to be. and now that we know he was with karina on new years, i think it's pretty obvious that he knew coming out of the club, that he would be seeing her on new years. but instead of saying "yes" he says he doesn't know what his plans are yet. that's just his way of not admitting things, yet not denying them. that's probably exactly what he did in the miss america interview. downplayed, but didn't deny. just a step cloder to admitting, because they both know, that we all know.

well, you would think they would be tired of answering the question. Why don't they just admit it. Does media scrutiny increase that dramatically by admitting that you're dating someone vs. being just friends? Maybe they are friends with benefits. you make a good point. you'd think it would be easier on them once they admit it. my guess is, that during the show they wanted people to focus on their dancing not their dating. and if they admit it now they would look like they lied before. plus mario probably hasn't had good publice relationships, so he wants to try keeping it private.

I really didn't even know who Mario was until dancing with the stars. Does he always lie about his women. I know he did with Ali from what I've heard. He said that she and he "clicked" so maybe this is different but I still say he will cheat on her. It is in his blood. I hope he has changed too. I think this relationship is actually good for him. I thought it was interesting that on "Dancing with the Stars" he said that Karina made him a better man and that he was dedicating his performances to the two most important women in his life "right now," his mom and Karina. I thought that was something you wouldn't just say about a friend. But being an actor, I wondered if those were just lines and it was a "showmance."

To his credit and my surprise, he actually has kept up a relationship with her after the show, after he didn't really need her anymore. Everyone thought he was going to dump her then.

To some people dating won't have the same excitement when you are not sneaking around. I truly think they are in love but how long it will last remains to be seen. He was with Ali over 5 years and cheated all the way through and was suppose to be in love with her too but I guess the glow was gone. Maybe Karina is the type who will overlook cheating to keep him if he does. I believe they have one thing in common and that is both love to dance and it is really fun especially with a partner that can make you look good. I guess they also spent XMAS together, as one AOL blogger spotted Mario and Karina kissing and holding hands after a Houston Texans game on XMAS Eve. His brother-in-law plays for the Texans. So, that's the trifecta of holidays: T-giving, XMAS, and New Year's that they spent together. If he's willing to spend major holidays with her and his family, it seems as if this is the most serious relationship he's had since Ali. Mario was on Late Late Night w/Craig Ferguson last night and when Craig brought up "Dancing with the Stars" and Mrs. Vodka (as he referred to Karina) Mario said she can hold her liquor. Craig asked how he knew that and Mario said the show had a long run and that he and Karina had a few cocktails together but he was going to leave it at that. Craig mentioned how Mario was linked romantically to different women in the tabloids and Mario said, "If my real life were like my rumored life, I'd be happy." Craig didn't really push him about his relationship but did invite him to come back w/ "Mrs. Vodka."

Mario also mentioned how his parents had been married for 35 years, and he didn't know how they did that.

When Craig asked Mario how he knew that Karina could hold her liquor, Mario replied:

Basically, Mario told Craig that because the show had a long run, there were opportunities where they celebrated after the show and had a few cocktails. Mario said he wanted to leave it at that. Craig said he was moving on to the next topic. Mario did say that is rumored life is untrue and he'd be a happy man if it were. I guess that means he wishes he were w/Eva Longoria, Britney Spears and Karina. To me, he kind of reinforced his single image. But he didn't say, "I'm available" like he did that one time to People magazine. It more like he didn't want us to think anything floating around the media about him and anyone is true. Frankly, he seemed very uncomfortable with the personal stuff and Craig changed the topic to football.

I wonder if he's a serial cheater because he has ADD (attention deficit disorder) by his own admission. Maybe he gets bored or can't focus on one person for a long time. Obviously, he's also hyper insecure about himself. It was quite obvious when during DWTS he and Karina were describing the first time they ever met and she said that the first time she met Mario she thought he was "very charming, sweet, talkative..." and Mario interjected, "and extremely handsome." i agree. by mario saying things like, "i would be happy if all that were true," he is making us confused, and keeping all of us guessing. that is his way of making us all think they aren't dating, while not actually denying it. because that would be a flat out lie. he used to that though.

I think the simple answer is that they are dating,but not really serious.So it is easier to deny the relationship,then when they do part ways,it won't look too bad.Mario is busy these days with all the stuff he's doing-he is shooting an ABC movie in Calgary,hosting Miss America and covering the Golden Globes as an Extra correspondent.Karina is on tour.They don't have time for a serious relationship.

you know i think they are playing the most evil tricks on us. im pretty positive karina did exaclty what she wanted by kissing this guy up here, and i think mario was involved. think about it...they used to just flat out deny that they were dating, and they could, because we had no straight up PROOF of it. but after mexico pictures came out, that was our proof. the show was over, and that right there was our proof. so they couldn't just flat out deny it anymore, so instead they go and do something like, karina kisses another guy. and sfter that look what happened! everyone forgot about the mexico pictures, and were like, "oh maybe they broke up!"

but we now know they haven't broken up, AND that guy isn't with karina at all.hmmmm. that was their only way to get around it at that point. "mario who?" that's all she could say. but it worked. for a while they had all the magazines thinking they broke up after mexico. and karina told entertainment tonight days before the mexico pics that "there was somone special but it's not mario!" proof that that was a lie came out. proof that this kiss on this page was a lie.

all im trying to say is they have gone out of their way to make it look like they aren't dating. and everytime they do, we find out what they did or said was a lie! for whatever reason they want to keep it a secret is between them. but the have most definately been caught everytime they've lied or everytime karina has tried to make it look like she's dating someone else. there's no question that they have flat out lied. and that they're together. the ONLY real question is, why do they WANT us all to think they aren't together, when they know that we know they are???

If anyone watched Extra's Golden globes coverage on Tuesday,Mario and Eva Longoria looke more than good friends.There was a very flirty vibe between them.I know she is engaged to Tony Parker,but there was just something in the way they interacted together.She basically took off his necktie and wanted it right then.He said it was going to be auctioned off to charity and she would have to pay for it,but he looked flustered and blushed a little.It was meant to be a funny moment,but I swear I could see the chemistry between them.

Eva and Mario have been said to be friends with benefits in the past.

Saw the "Extra" clip w/Mario, and it was really frustrating because you don't what he was asked, the way they edited the show. The voiceover said that Mario had some "coupleless" news for us, which was, "I wouldn't make a really good boyfriend right now." But he was all shady when he replied because his eyes were darting around. He couldn't look the interviewer in the eye. He didn't say it w/ a lot of credibility. His tone was one of a liar. Obviously, he has a million things going on right now and Karina is on tour, so their paths weren't going to cross any time soon due to scheduling conflicts. I just don't get why you would spend every major holiday w/someone and then say two weeks later you aren't good boyfriend material. Maybe that's is out w/her so he can do what he wants, when he wants, without feeling guilty about it. She knows the score, so to speak.

Well, Mario is at it again. Apparently, he's done some more interviews this week w/Miss America coming up, and this is latest comment regarding Karina: "She's been busy doing the tour. She's a good friend. She's a great person. I have nothing but respect for her, and I think the world of her." That was a quote in the National Ledger. Again, you don't know what the reporter asked him. How the question was phrased, but considering Mario told "US" right after T-giving that he had "nothing but love for her." It sounds as if he's backed off.

well, the fact that he's not acting available makes me think the two of them are each others number one guy and girl, but maybe just aren't official because of schedules. but i can name you so many times they have lied about certain things, and that makes me think there is definately something there, but because she's on tour, we aren't hearing about it. we'll have to see what happens when the tour ends, and mario gets back in la. it's coming up also that dwts comes back. maybe mario will be in the audience sometimes.

one of the guys dancing on the tour is named Brian. he does several group routines, and dances some dance with karina. there is a website that is a ballroom dance school that he is affiliated with. while he is on tour, he is giving the people from the website the inside scoop from the tour. he says mario and karina are still together. and the information is accurate, because they get exclusive pictures from the tour. and they said their recent stop near new jersey karina went to spend time with her family, cuz that's where they live. but anyway, if anyone needs to see this page for belief just ask.

im not saying there's cold, hard, proof. but there are times, when they have lied about their REASON for not dating. and karina actually went this far to make it look the opposite, which makes me think she has something to hide. it's just way too fishy for them to just be make-out pals. not to mention mario and karina were spotted being cozy, THE night she said there was someone but it wasn't mario. if she can come up with something that made me believe it for a week, than they could have easily done it the whole time. but celebrities do this all the time, so i don't know why it's such a shock to everyone.they just seem to be coming up with better ways out of it. but mario seems to at least be saying he's not available, whichn is good. he still denies it, but maybe protects it by saying, he can't date other women.

WOW that was really studip.Well overall what I have heard from you guys on your comments I got this:Mario Lopez and Karina were dating during DWTS and after the show they went to Mexico were those pictures were taken and Karina got furious and they broke up. Then this event occured showing that she could get back up on her feet by going with this ugly looking guy and was then spotted making out with Mario a little while later. So I guess that means their back together. Now they are spending practically every holiday together. They are still not admitting that they are a couple but have said that they are linked romantically. brian fortuna, who was on the tour and will be on season four, has a website for his school. people that also teach at that school got the behind the scenes scoop, and exclusive pictures during the tour. and towards the end of the tour he said, mathew lawrence and cheryl burke were dating, and that mario and karina were still together. and now a couple weeks later there was a video of cheryl and matt kissing on E! and they say they're dating on people.com.

so those comments were 100% valid. i already knew it was valid but there's your proof! brian gave them those exclusives before anyone else knew about it. that means mario and karina re together still, because obviously that website is valid! how cute...

I think the most truthful thing that Mario has ever said about this relationship was to USA TODAY right after the DWTS finals, when they asked about his and Karina's relationship he said, "We like to keep our private life private." The only weird things that have happened are when he went to Vegas the weekend of the "Day and Night" ball, the gig that Karina was in charge of and she brought JC Chasez as her date. The other weird thing are these pictures of her w/this other guy. Other than that it's been consistent between the two of them. A 5-month relationship does not a permanent relationship make particularly in LA.

I think that is is so weird that Karina lied about Mexico when she is wearing the exact same bikini in Mexico that she was wearing on DWTS when they had their getaway to the pool. Did anybody else notice that?

yeah i noticed. something funny though, is that karina didn't bring JC as her date to that thing. there's an interview with him and he doesn't even remember her name when the interviewer asked about her. then he said she just asked him to take a couple pictures with him, and he said yes. and i think karina and this other guy staged this, because after mexico she didn't know how she could deny it anymore. it worked temporarily, cuz everyone said they broke up. but obviously they never did, and just like to keep it private.
