Kate Gosselin's Attorney Says Jon Can't Stop The Show!

Even though Jon Gosselin's attorney Mark Jay Heller proclaimed on Larry King last night that "pulling the plug" on Jon & Kate Plus 8 (er, Kate Plus Eight) was a "done deal," Kate's legal mouthpiece begs to differ!
On The Today Show this morning, lawyer Mark Momjian said, "These parties entered into an agreement once the divorce action was filed that allowed each parent - who had physical custody of the children - to make the filming decisions when the children were with them."
"When the children are with Kate, Jon agreed that Kate would make the filming decisions involving the kids," he added. "[Kate] really does want to engage Jon, it's just that he's not engaging her back. And that's really regrettable in any custody case. His active participation and encouragement of the show involved all the children and a decision by both parents to include the children and continue production. [Kate] is going to honor her contract. She'd like to continue with the show. She loves doing the show."
So what does Jon have to say to that? His attorney released the following statement:
- "Jon wants to thank everyone who is supporting his decision as a father and realizes that the environment for his children to be filming while he is going through a divorce with his wife understands that he does not that is the best set of circumstances for him to be under. He doesn't want the kids on the show because he is going through a divorce with his wife and he doesn't feel its a suitable environment mentally and emotionally for them right now."
Ahh, what next?

Take one GREEDY selfish woman plus one GREEDY network (TLC/Discovery) and the result is 8 used, manipulated children who have no voice in this at all. Those kids are getting older, this BS needs to stop and if TLC had any morals at all they would quit now. These children are not actors!!! They're kids trying to lead some semblance of a normal life in a very warped setting.
The show stinks when its about Kate only. She's not a bit interesting or charismatic. It used to be fun watching her be abusive but now that she's pretending to be nice I can't watch.
She is the only rational, partially moral parent in the kids lives. How can you people judge like you do after every thing Jon has done????
Why didn't he think of this four years ago before they started the show. Larry King got it right when he said maybe you shouldn't have started. Now when things aren't going his way and he is not going to get paid the show is detrimental. It was detrimental four years ago dumba**. What were you both thinking then. If you want out of the tabloids stop going on talk shows and saying dumba** things. Is there 15 minutes of fame over yet.

I hate Jon and think he is a douch bag BUT I agree that it isn't good for the kids regardless of his motivation.
The kids need to be assessed by a professional to ensure that they are ok. These two nitwits don't have a clue. It seems to be about money on both sides.
It will be interesting to see what job Jon gets in order to support his large family. I have no idea what he did before but thats a lot of mouths to feed. I wouldn't like to see him on any other shows or her either for that matter.

A flat wallet and a -0- bank balance lends itself to the perfect time for an epiphany, that an a slick oily lawyer who is a money grubber just like Jon. It is on record with the court that Kate set up trust/college funds for each child with her share of the money. Jon spent his on booze, barmaids, fame hoes, jewelry, Gucci shoes, etc.,etc. I am neither team but Kate is definately the best parent and role model.
If Kate is truly all about supporting and protecting her kids...why is she hell bent on keeping this show going. This has gotten into an ugly mess for both Jon and Kate and the both need to walk away from the spotlight and focus on those kids and see if they can salvage any of their childhood. They are "gossip celebrities" and to be that selfish about continuing with the show is ridiculous. Who cares what Jon's motive is...if in the event it does get these kids out of the spotlight- so be it. Then they can argue in private (we all wish) as to who is the bigger idiot parent.

They werer't in the midst of a divorce four years ago and also when it started it was supposed to be a couple of documentaries. Do you really think it is beneficial for these kids to be on TV during the midst of this ugly divorce?
Evidently TLC doesn't mind being labeled as a shitty channel because they are wanting to continue this show. Not only is this showing what a mess Jon and Kate are it is showing what a heartless and self centered group TLC are.
Does Kate realize that there are other ways to support her children outside of exploiting them? She could try to get a real job like other Americans... or just go out and do her book or speaking gigs and keep the kids sheltered. There are so many "true" celebrities who know not to pimp their kids and want them to have a normal life.... and then you have Jon and kate who were just "normal or so so normal" people and they act like they have no ability to support their kids other than parading them around in public.

It is so funny that after all the slimy and lowlife things that Jon has done, most people still want to bash on Kate. Get real people! He is only doing all of this because he is scared of losing that big paycheck, and nothing more. Just like him deciding to stop the divorce for awhile......yeah right!!!! The kids are getting too old to have their personal lives there for the world to see. Jon can see that. He was so beaten down by Kate for the last 10 years it took him a while to regain some self-confidence. Now he has and he wants to do the best for his children. Kate, on the other hand, is a money ho and will stop at nothing to line her pockets.
Kate has pulled together and she has alwyas had the kids in thier best intrest. Jon is a playboy and blamed her for his not wanting the 6 kids he only wanted the twins. He is mad that he got booted from the show even though he wanted to leave to make another one. He would be stupid to stop the major income to provide for his kids. He cant do it so its up to kate. Keep the show going the kids deserve it and like the crew of tlc. Go Kate!!!
Jill P...what do you mean major income, keep doing it...there are plenty of families out there that have a large number of kids and aren't doing a TV show...and they still find a way to survive... these people could also. If EITHER of them has been smart, they would have invested the money and could walk away. They are going to have to do it sometime... nobody wants to watch these kids forever and when that stops- what will they do for income????
Jon did what 90% of soon to be divorced guys do, they go out and fill the void by screwing around, usually with much younger girls. No different than my ex H and a million others have done! As a mom I did my best to shelter my kids from those acts because they're adult issues. The sad part is this is all being aired in public due to the parents and TLC with zero regard for the children. Did it ever occur to Kate that kids don't need a mansion to be happy? They don't need super sized Bday parties or fancy SUV's to enjoy their childhood? I think they need to be featured in an episode of American Greed, they have become a corporation that will step on anyone to satisfy their needs. BS that they're doing this to support their kids, since when does it take having a reality to support kids that YOU willingly brought into the world? Kate wants to be famous, she wants the lifestyle...she's a bulldozer and rolls over anyone who steps in her way. People like this always fall and they fall hard. It's just scarily like the Truman Show for those kids, they don't even know what it's like to live a normal life.

I watched Larry King the other night, and all I could think about is that Mr. Heller is just as much of an idiot as Jon Gosselin is. I don't think the show affects the children in anyway. They have been brought up to be polite, loving, fun loving children even though they are on the show. This show has given this family alot and I agree with Kate, it is probably a lot of fun to do. I mean, what kind of job can you have that brings in the amount of money that this job does, and all you really have to do is what you do normally. Yes, I understand that some of it is most likely scripted, what reality show isn't, but I think that just the ideas for the day is what is scripted.
Jon, get off your high horse, and leave things be. Get a new lawyer, cause the one you have is really an idiot.

Kate wants to do the show because, as she has said, it offers her more time to be with them, offers far better money for the family than any other job she could do, so why are people so down on doing the show? I think they are simply jealous that her family has a show and theirs doesn't.

Jon is not an honorable person. He took the funds out of a joint account against a court order that put food on the table for the children. Hope the judge sees to it that justice is done and the children are protected from their unstable Father.
