Report: Kate Gosselin Considered For Next Bachelorette

Kate Gosselin is single and ready to mingle ... possibly in front of the nation as ABC's next Bachelorette, according to show creator Mike Fleiss.

Ryan Seacrest, on KIIS-FM this morning, asked Fleiss whether he'd consider Gosselin, the mother of eight, for the reality dating show ... and he responded:

"I guess it’s kinda interesting. I’ve never thought about it. Seriously, It would have to be a special edition of the Bachelorettte. I wouldn’t want to jump the shark.”

Seacrest didn't stop there. He called ABC's President Steve McPherson and asked his thoughts on the suggestion. The head honcho's reply?

“...that could be great ... she was great on Dancing [with the Stars].”

McPherson was quick to invite Ryan to join the series as the next Bachelor, to which he replied, "I don't have the time ... I have a contract with FOX."

No time for love? Come on, Ryan.
