People don't seem to have the same problem with leather and this is why:

Cows are killed for food. Therefore, leather is a by-product of that animal.

FUR is harvested from animals SOLELY for that purpose and they are skinned alive as not to ruin the precious "PELT". There is extreme suffering on Chinese fur farms (mostly) as fur farming has become illegal in this country.

Hope that clears some things up regarding FUR vs. leather. Not hypocrites at all, just different schools of thought. But most anti-fur people like Pam Anderson, Natalie Portman for example are VEGANS too.

I'm a vegan. It is very easy once you see what goes on in the factory farming industry too. Humane people would not want to have any suffering of any species in order to eat or wear a fur coat. Plenty of options in fake fur now, they are pretty and no torturing of animals is involved.

i live in a small country and there are people in every store that wrap everything when you buy presents and you can take them wrapped to your home..

Yes, eating at McDonald's is 50 X more destructive to the environment due to the size of the animal and the waste caused by it. A true humane/conscientious person would not support either industry.
