I believe it was a drug overdose. He had no bandages on his wrists. He had his publicist spin the story into a suicide so people would feel sorry for him and he wouldn't lose work. It's not Kate's fault. Owen has spent years fighting his addictions.

(And if she really loved him so "deeply", why didn't she stick it out and try to get him some REAL help instead of acting like a slut with Dax so soon after their break-up?)
