It's not even cold enough to consider fur necessary - Siberia, yes, Aspen, no. Neither are wearing gloves or hats and Kate's wearing air-conditioned jeans! Women in 2009 shouldn't need to use fur to telegraph their financial and/or celebrity status at a ski resort or elsewhere.
Love the combo of the fur coats and boots with the mandatory celebrity dark glasses. I think they can safely assume NO ONE knows they're from Hollywood!
