Katherine Heigl Embraces Her Latest Role

Yesterday we spotted Katherine Heigl, hubby Josh Kelley and daughter Naleigh grabbing brunch in Los Feliz, and though the new parents looked a bit worn out, it seems like Katherine is much happier now that she's no longer on Grey's Anatomy.
While it was widely speculated Katherine wanted to leave the hit ABC show for months, she tells a different story, saying that the decision to say goodbye was not an easy one. Katherine recently told EW, "I really wanted to [stay on the show], but at the same time I just felt like I couldn’t sacrifice my relationship with my child ... And even though I know I’m disappointing the fans, and I know I’m disappointing the writers and my fellow cast members and the crew, I just had to make a choice. I hope I made the right one ... It sucks."
Hmm, sounds like she really was torn about this decision. But if she's happier with her family and Grey's is thrilled to be done dealing with her drama, everyone wins, right?

I just do not like this woman. She seemed miscast even in her commercially successful movies. Too old or too old loking I think.

Its so nice to see a Hollywood type choose their family over their career. You don't see that too often. Good for her.
For those of you who think she is doing this to spend more time with her daughter you are wrong, she has 2 movies booked back to back. It's for the money, and she dropped the show that made her. She's ungrateful!

Lovely pics..sweet family. She doesn't have two movies booked back to back at all. In fact she has done one days shooting on a movie since November. Also what does the race of her daughter have to matter? What a crass comment.
She's been working all the time juggling greys AND movie AND also now raising a child, so I'm glad she chose to let go, one (greys), in order to have that time spent with her daughter (how much that child has grown). TV is a full time job but movie she can make as and when, as she said she 'could work 2-3 months making movie and have the rest of the months of the year with her family. Good for her and I wish her the best.

Her baby is Korean. Her sister was adopted from Korea as well which is why she chose to adopt from that country. Btw, can't blaim her for leaving Greys. Screw being grateful, that show is shit now and everyone knows it's on it's last legs.
