Katherine Heigl was literally stopped in her tracks when paps delivered the news that co-star Justin Chambers (and father of five) had voluntarily checked himself into the same psych ward that Britney was taken to earlier this week.
He had since checked himself out, but Katherine was so stunned that she needed to duck into a store to make a few phone calls to check up on her sick friend.
With the uncertainty of the writer's strike and five kids to support, it's no wonder that Justin needed a little break!
We could all use a break - maybe getting some rest in the psych ward isn't such a bad thing?
