Naughty Or Nice: Katherine Heigl Adopts Baby Naleigh!

Posted on Mon Dec 21, 2009 04:20 PM PDT

katheiglbaby.jpg

Katherine Heigl and hubby Josh Kelley adopted a 10-month-old baby girl from Korea named Nancy Leigh, nicknamed Naleigh, back in September 2009...

Then in November, we snapped Kat and her new daughter in Beverly Hills, both decked out in purple!

What can I say? I'm not the biggest Katherine Heigl fan - I mean, obvs! - despite the fact that I enjoy her rom-coms. But this is something else entirely: Kat has done a genuinely good thing here, so props to her! Nice for sure.

Who cares! I found a great datingsite (((((( S e e k i n g R i c h 。c0m )))) last week. The best datingclub for seeking the richsingles, sexy beauties. what's the most important is that you don't have to be a milllionaire, but you can meet one. Charlie Sheen found his true love on that site in 2007.

Why don't idiot celebs get themselves a couple of dogs and leave well enough alone?
What are they trying to prove with foreign adoptions?
Wait till those little adopted darlings turn into teenagers - there will be the devil to pay.

Friend worked on her movie Life As We Know It, she had to work with twin girls and not very nurturing at all with the babies. She is as fake as they come, just not a nice human being. I hope she doesn't turn into Mommie Dearest!

Celebs and their "global" souvenirs....pfffft.

Posted by: Anonymous

Hope she wasn't a stolen baby like the case has been in some chinese adoptions lately.
What heartbreak for poor villagers.
Hope Korea is more vigilant.

i wish she could just be izzy all her life lol

After watching TV about foreign adoption's, hope they know where the heck the cute little girl is from?? Apparently boys are the favorite's over there, baby girls mean nothing!
Just hope they did their homework about her.

I'm all for adoption, just not from Asia, not a good place to adopt kids from. Also Russia, Croatia (sp). Backward country's. And Africa is the worst country to adopt from! Actually Africa would sell your mother and she wouldn't even know it, the most backword country in the entire world. Been there and saw it in person. Just awful.
Why not adopt from the USA?

USA adoptions are so passe.
Celebs are so selfish, for starters they don't want to put up with pregnancy.
THey'd rather rent a womb or buy a kid.

Africa is a whole damn continent! Not a country!

USA has a long, time and money consuming and hard process to adopt. Adopt in Africa is way easier. Children there have to put up with the most horrible things, I'm not going to say children on USA doesn't need help, of course they of but comparing to an african child he/she is living the dream.

That being said, I don't like her.

children of africa have it bad because they have corrupt dictatorships.
No matter how much money America throws at these countries their corrupt governments keep them in poverty.
Christian missionaries do alot of good work because they are physically there distributing the help and healthcare.

No, you're wrong about Africa, it's the most corfuft place ever! Please don't ever do any kind of busines with them, please don't.

And they actually posted my last post about idiots on board, go figure! Just tells you what you're dealing with! Assholes!

No, Africans problems aren't dictatorships. The problem is why there dictatorships on the first place. You cannot kill or destroy millions and millions of people (who by the way were on their productive years) without expecting a LONG term effect. Colonialism has a long list of scars that haven't heal yet (and won't for at least another century). I'm not saying that all Africans were happy and they all loved and everything was good, after they became colonies the old structure were destroy and the new ones were made not to fit them, but instead to fit the system (all didn't happen that long ago, if I don't remember all Africa, with the exception of Ethiopia, was still on 1950 under the claws of several European countries).
All the money from the international agencies is not well spend, they all focus on the superficial issues and not the structural. And let's be realistic, if America gives them money is because there is a deal someplace. No government is going to give millions of dollars because it's nice. I think that America and many countries need Africa to stay the same: cheap worker and cheap natural product, and buyers to their industrial products.

Shocker, white couple name their foreign Asian born child a totally white name... denying her heritage. They could've had the decency to pick a name or middle name that reflects her ancestry... I bet they won't even bring her up with any sense of Korean identity at all. That's the worst part of these adoptions, ok maybe they are getting a rich home in material terms, but grow up totally whitewashed. Crap.

Katherine Heigl's sister is KOREAN. Baby Naleigh has a KOREAN aunt and KOREAN cousins. She will grow up in a family reflecting her ancestry.
I think Naleigh is a lucky girl. And I'm sure she is a happy baby :)

Doubtful. She has to deal with Heigl, which can't be easy.

So many bitter and sad people out there. Someone does something really wonderful and all you can do is say nasty things. You really must have very sad and pitiful lives. Perhaps you should ask yourselves what you have done to help someone - anyone. Probably very little - you are too busy being critical of others. As for the comment from the person on Life As We Know It - seems to be completely in contrast to all the stories posted by real people online with real names talking about nice and wonderful she was with them and their kids. Katherine and Josh I am sure will be wonderful parents to the very adorable Naleigh

Ignorant comments from hateful people. I kinda wish at Christmas some of you posting above actually find a soul and a moral compass - you sure do need it. Kudos to Katherine and Josh.

I enjoy her acting and I think she did a wonderful thing in adopting this beautiful little girl. Unless you know her, you got no reason to belittle her.

I am split on this - I think there are many kids in America who need loving homes, while it is the adoptive parent's choice to do as she/he pleases. It's one less parent-less child in the world. Amen to that.

X17 Poll

What went wrong on The X Factor today with Britney Spears?

Britney definitely had another meltdown. This is proof she's not ready to step back into the spotlight!
I think Britney may have overreacted to a bad audition, but it will be entertaining to watch later!
I think Simon Cowell planned this all along. Brit probably even rehearsed it!
