Kathy Griffin And Sarah Silverman Speak Out On Gay Suicides

Posted on Tue Oct 5, 2010 02:54 PM PDT

Female comics unite! While Sarah Silverman went for a short, effective message (in response to the recent tragedies involving the suicides of gay youths), Kathy Griffin took more time to explain what we all can do to help those in need. Both are valuable so check out the vids above!

The Trevor Project also released a video today. So many to watch!

Meanwhile, singer Robbie Williams told the Kyle and Jackie O radio show that he and wife Ayda Field want homosexual children: "I want a gay one, we've talked about it and that's what we want, whatever it is."

Loves!

I think?

These b i t c h e s are soooo raunchy. I wouldn't listen to anything they have to say. How can anyone take them seriously?

Posted by: Anonymous

They will do anything to advance their careers.

I went to a Catholic university. I was bullied by a Jewish kid. He was a total prick, but he was rich and had him mommy and daddy paying for his education. I have no idea where that effin douchebag is now!

Everyone gets bullied, tell a cop, or whom ever in authority and get rid of the creepy jerk.

Children, teens and adults are killing themselves every damn day in this world, gay or not. These sudden outbursts from the Hollywood has-beens and Hollywood elite-wannabes, is nothing more than an attempt to advance their Pro-gay agenda. From Kathy Griffin, to Sarah Silverman, to Margaret Cho...they're nothing but vile human beings on a mission to join those among us who want to destroy this country. They need to put their big girl panties on and move on. I have absolutely no respect for anyone who calls those of us who "disagree" with gay marriage "HATERS", because it's a lie. It's a lie that they continue to use to demean those of us who simply "disagree" with them. They make me sick to the core.

These two so called women are repulsive who mock Catholics and make jokes about God. NOTHING they say has any credence at all. They are a joke and so are their lives. Liz and 2:58 I totally agree with you as well.
I will pray for those children who have taken their lives and for their families that's what all should.

I can't agree more with the comments about these stupid women. It is a terrible thing that happened to that boy and I don't agree with bullying of any kind, but gay people aren't the only ones being bullied. Kathy Griffin, get a life and stop feeding off the misfortune of others.

Gay people should have their civil rights, I agree.

But I wish they could find better spokespersons than Sara Silverman and Kathy.

Such unattractive women! What they lack in talent they make up in vulgarity.

In ancient Israel their own people would have stoned them to death.

..........americans love these talks.

Agree, that Silverman woman has no moral authority to speak of. She is a bad role model and shouldn't be a spokesperson for anything.

I don't see why everyone is focusing on WHO is giving this message. You may be right on their personal agendas, or you may be wrong. That's not the point.
I think they make a good point. Particularly Sarah Silverman. Bullying shouldn't happen to anyone, and the fact that gay teenagers are four times as likely to commit suicide is shocking. It's disgusting the way people treat each other.
You're entitled to your own beliefs, but that doesn't mean you are allowed to force them on other people.
People need to stop being so ignorant

Posted by: Anonymous

Good for their careers. That's all.

Posted by: Anonymous

I think they make good points, but they're not exactly the right people to be saying these things.

Posted by: Anonymous

isobel, it matters absolutely WHO delivers the message. Would you like to see pedos hosting children's TV shows, for example?

9:01pm anonymous:
I don't think Kathy Griffin and Sarah Silverman are comparable to pedophiles. Sure, they may be vulgar, and personally I'm not a fan, but I think your example is totally over the top.

Though I can see your point, and I'm not saying it doesn't matter. Obviously people want a good role model and someone to be a representation of this idea and I agree, they aren't the ones to do it.
However, I'm saying that the only thing that people seem to be focusing on is who they are, not what they're saying, when actually, they have composed reasonable arguments.

I agree with Isobel, and 8:59
but I still think these women are only doing this for their careers.

Kathy, needs to oped a Plastic Recycle company.

rob williams wants a gay child.....GEEEEEEEEZ where does america go.....

Posted by: Anonymous

these two ladies are foul and losers. that being said, im sooo glad that all of hollywood can jump on the bandwagon and do all these public announcements when a gay person kills themself due to bullying. how about all the public announcements that they HAVENT done when other kids who were NOT gay have killed themselves! all hollywood wants to do is push the gay agenda and make it look like they are the only ones who are bashed. news flash-people are bullied for being over-weight, ethnic origins and for religious beliefs! so over all this gay crap.

Posted by: Anonymous

Truly good role models wouldn't be pushing the gay crap. Therefore, these two deviant, fugly, vulgar skanks are the perfect representatives.

Posted by: Anonymous

Two of the biggest bullies out there speak out against bullying. Do these idiots ever look at themselves?

^ So true.

X17 Poll

What went wrong on The X Factor today with Britney Spears?

Britney definitely had another meltdown. This is proof she's not ready to step back into the spotlight!
I think Britney may have overreacted to a bad audition, but it will be entertaining to watch later!
I think Simon Cowell planned this all along. Brit probably even rehearsed it!
