Katie Holmes Takes Daughter Suri To The Central Park Zoo

Katie Holmes and daughter Suri went to the Central Park Zoo today, and the ladies were also joined by Katie's mom Kathy!

Katie "was smiling and laughing with her little daughter," an eyewitness tells Us Weekly. Suri was "most excited by the penguins" and she stood "on the ledge with her face pressed to the glass. When a penguin swam up, Suri screamed playfully, and she and Katie laughed." Awww!

Katie and Suri also hung out with Grandma Holmes at NYC's Chelsea Piers on Tuesday afternoon, and despite making headlines when she filed for divorce from hubby Tom Cruise late last month, Katie seems to handling the split well and spending plenty of quality time with their 6-year-old.

It was announced on Monday that Tom and Katie had ironed out a divorce settlement, and despite initial predictions that this could be one of the nastiest custody battles in Hollywood, Katie will have primary physical custody of Suri with Tom being given "generous visitation rights." We're glad everyone was able to work everything out so amicably ... and quickly!
