Lotsa Jazz Hands And A Decent High Kick - Katie Thinks She Can Dance!

I think that since Katie is a poor actress....she is looking for other venues. Unfortunately she is also a poor dancer....walking around and shaking it is not considered dancing....the lady has no rhythm...a NECESSARY element...which cannot be taught or instilled...you're either born with it or you're not. Katie was not born with it. Her singing is only mediocre.
I give Katie an A+ for effort though.

It's a start for dancing, but she didn't do any interesting combinations...just mostly high kicks and slinking around and singing sexy. Once she gets in some maybe tap dancing, or other moves, then I think she wound be considered a "dancer".

It was simply a very poor attempt for some attention. She did not dance at all, it was taped and the singing was taped as well while she walked around. She sold her soul to the cult for possible fame and money so stop trying to appear normal again. It does not cover up what you did, Katie.

Whatever that was last night I would def. have a problem calling it dancing. I also thought it interesting that normally when they have performers on the show they pan back you so you can see the staning room only crowd on the floors reaction...but gee we must have forgot how uber famous she is! I'd be willing to bet it was a closed set because heaven forbid "real" people get to see her make a "live" fool of herself with that crappy performance.

That was so confusing. That was NOT dancing- and I don't care that she's not a professional dancer. Dancing with the stars has celebrities every year who don't know how to dance and if any of them performed a routine like that, they'd be gone the first week. If it was a Judy Garland tribute show, it would have been fine, but on a DANCE show?

I think she did a nice, professional job and considering it was for charity, I think she should be proud! She looked really cute/sexy and was practiced. Her voice sounded pretty, darn good, though the lip synching was a BIT off on the dance number. She certainly LOOKS like a dancer. Long and lean.

There are many styles of dance as there are styles of music. The problem is this was a jazz dance on a hip hop show.

^For that matter, the dancers on this show would be tossed very quickly on Dancing with the Stars, and vice-versa, if they performed the types of dancing that their respective shows require.

I think she looked ok the dance ok or or shake,shimmy was ok base on broadway musical typed of work I was expecting to be shocked at a great performance but the whole thing was plain... nothing spectacular. not bad but even great.

She danced ok, and it was mainly for charity. Would have liked to have seen more combinations.....lots of jazz hands and shimmys, which is mostly at fault for the choreographer. She needs LOTS of work.

That is insane> Britney's whole circus tour took a few months to train for and there is like 14 songs and way more dancing involved. Not to mention that although Britney usually lip syncs, at least she doesn't pull these pre recorded performances. So pathetic. What Katie did was a taped performance. It was not live or lip syncing. It was just a recorded routine. No real performer does this. Any broadway star would find this insulting. At least she could have performed this to a live audience.This goes beyond lip syncing people, this is down right fake. I wonder how many takes it took her to get this right! The difference between Britney Spears 2007 vma performance and this one is that Katie was not live. I know that sounds funny considering Britney lip syncs, but at least she performed to a live audience. When you pre record your show you don't have a chance to screw up. This means that Katie did not even have a chance for a terrible mistake because the director would have yelled cut and then another take would have been done. Sadly, real artists do not have this option to fake their performances. We attack artists when they lip sync or sing over tracks, but when some out of work actresss tries to immitate a legend like Judy Garland, and does it poorly, we let her off easy. At least she could have come out there to a live audience and lip synced. Sadly, when Britney came out and did the worst performance of her life because of personal problems, she did not have the option to re tape her song. Instead we all watched in horror live! Yes she lip synced and didn't dance very well, but no body gave her any sympathy for that. They just said she was over and that was that. So Katie does not deserve sympathy for a pre recorded lame perfomance.
