How Russell Proposed To Katy...

We're so happy slash jealous for the two lovebirds!
And now The Sun has the deets behind Russell Brand's marriage proposal...
The couple was staying at India's luxurious Taj Rambagh Palace hotel - see Katy's Tweet pic to the left! - when it happened.
It was New Year's Eve and, wearing a dress he had bought for her, Katy accompanied Russell first to an ancient fort and then "a table in a garden with candles everywhere. They arrived in a horse and carriage with glasses of champagne," reveals a hotel worker...

Talk about a stunning hotel!
The hotel worker continues: "At midnight they enjoyed fireworks while sitting on an elephant, which Mr. Brand specially requested. Then they were taken to the Mughal Garden - which was decorated by flowers and candlelight. Russell had given his butler the diamond ring to hide among the flowers. Miss Perry found it, he proposed, and she immediately said 'yes!'" Aww!
Afterwards, the couple requested 45 minutes of privacy. Natch! And where to after that?
The presidential suite, of course!
Yeah, this bedroom (on the right) is where Russell and Katy stayed. Complete with a gorge circular bed AND a sunken jacuzzi...
So hot right now! Congrats to the happy couple. You know they had a fun night together in the bedroom after getting engaged!

I don't think Russell had actually changed. He's wanted to get married all along. He just couldn't find anyone that matched him. Deep down, he's old-fashioned and conservative which is why he likes Katy. I think once he's married, he'll stay married. Katy is smart. She'll always land on her feet no matter what, but she's got nothing to worry about.
