Hey, she's Katy Perry -- she can do whatever she wants!

Yesterday Katy went to SoHo House in West Hollywood after sweating it out at the gym, and the 27-year-old pop star met with several pals for lunch. Over the weekend Katy performed at President Obama's fundraiser, and she tweeted, "I sang for President @BarackObama last night because I believe in Equal Rights #ForAll #Vote."

In other news, Katy's former boyfriend Johnny Lewis has finally been laid to rest after a bizarre incident in which he reportedly killed his elderly land lady and mysteriously fell to his death from the roof of his building. The Sons of Anarchy actor was cremated with his ashes spread off the coast of San Diego, according to E! News.

Katy and Johnny dated from 2006 to 2007 for about 18 months, and a source close to the starlet said, ''She is devastated. She had to separate from him to get ahead and focus on her career. He was in trouble then and she couldn't help him."

While we're guessing she's happy to reunite with beau John Mayer, it looks like Katy Perry is still devastated over the death of her ex-boyfriend, Sons of Anarchy actor Johnny Lewis.

The 27-year-old singer returned home from Japan last night, and she clung tight to her bodyguard and showed hardly any emotion when she got into her car. She still hasn't released a statement about Lewis, who was found dead in a driveway on Wednesday after allegedly murdering his 81-year-old landlady, Catherine Davis. Lewis and Perry dated from 2005-2006, and police told the media that they believe Lewis killed Davis' cat and then beat her to death while under the influence either PCP or meth.

On a lighter note, it was recently announced that Katy will accept Billboard’s Woman of the Year Award at the 2012 Billboard Women in Music event in NYC on November 30 ... congrats!

Katy Perry is ready to embrace a zen lifestyle, and with open arms extended, the Firework singer Tweeted, "Starting the day with a group meditate #breakfastofchampions Getting some s**t out my chakra's! #eloquent."

The 27-year-old songstress, who has been dating John Mayer on-and-off, added, "I ate, I prayed, I climbed a volcano."

Perry's divorce from comedian Russell Brand was finalized in July.

The "Wide Awake" singer will be performing for President Obama at the 30 Days to Victory concert at LA's Nokia Theater on October 7, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Following the concert, a dinner with the president will be held at a restaurant ... with tickets going for $25,000 each.

When the two started their romance in July, John reportedly told the newly-divorced singer that he had changed his womanizing ways, but various websites claim he dumped her after just several weeks of dating. Looks like things could be serious between these two ... can't wait for them to start writing songs about each other!

Mayer reportedly told the newly-divorced Perry that he had changed his womanizing ways, but shortly after the two began their romance he dumped her. "John did a real number on Katy," a source told Radar. "She held off from his advances for the longest time, but he laid on the charm thick and promised her he was a changed man. She eventually gave in, fell head over heels for him and then - yep - once he had made his conquest, he dumped her."

Mayer was spotted out over the weekend with noticeably shorter hair, so it certainly seems like the 34-year-old singer wants all the single ladies to know that he's back open for business. While it's a step in the right direction, we have to wonder what kind of a girl would be silly enough to fall for the serial heartbreaker!
