Katy Perry Earns $50 Million From Teenage Dream

Not only did Katy Perry tie Michael Jackson's No. 1's record with her Teenage Dream album -- she also made almost $50 million in the last year with it!
The album has sold 1.7 million copies in the U.S. and about 20 million singles tracks, according to Nielsen SoundScan. That means it brought in $48 million from album sales alone!
Perry is estimated to take home 15 to 20 percent of the album/singles sales. She is also making cash from touring (she's currently on tour for the album.)
The singer, 26, topped U.S. charts with "Last Friday Night," her fifth No. 1 record off the album -- tying MJ's record for Bad. She's the only other artist ever to complete the feat.
Other singles from the album include Teenage Dream, E.T., California Gurls and Firework.
