Katy Perry Reaches Out To Rihanna Following Divorce News

Katy Perry and Russell Brand will officially be ending their marriage this year, and to help cope with the situation, the "Teenage Dream" singer has reached out to her gal pal Rihanna for support.
Perry is having a tough time coping with the split, according to various online reports.
A source tells The Sun:
- "When Katy told her the news, she suggested flying down to Barbados to stay with her and her family."
Perry and Brand were married in October 2010. Rihanna is the one who planned Katy's bachelorette party. Another source tells The Mirror:
- "Rihanna has been there for Katy, texting her from Miami where she [was] on holiday. Now they are planning a girly getaway so Katy can clear her head."
Katy spent her Christmas holiday in Hawaii, while Russell spent the holidays at home with family in Cornwall, England.
After filing for divorce on December 30, Brand released the following statement: "Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage. I’ll always adore her, and I know we’ll remain friends."
Perry has not issued a public statement regarding the split.
