Kevin Bacon Talks About Starting Over
Posted on Mon Jan 12, 2009 02:22 PM PDT
Kevin Bacon is speaking out for the first time since it was revealed that he and wife Kyra Sedgwick were swindled in the alleged Ponzi scheme run by disgraced financier Bernard Madoff.
"There are a lot of things I'm grateful for: my health, my family, my career, my family's health," Bacon told Life & Style magazine.
Kevin said they are trying to remain upbeat, even after losing almost everything.
"We'll march on. We have to. There’s nothing you can do about it. You can't change what happened. Things could be worse. You remember that, and you go on with your life,” Bacon told the magazine.
Bacon said his first priority is to get back to work, so that he and his family can start rebuilding what they've lost.
"I don't have anything lined up right now, but I need to work, for obvious reasons."
We wish Kevin and his family the best of luck. What do you think should happen to the guy accused of stealing all of the money from all those people.

I feel bad for them. I am sure he will find work in no time at all.
I still don't get why someone would put ALL their money in one investment, just doesn't make sense to me.
The person who's the cause of this needs to be in jail!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I like Kevin I wish you and fam the best and keep your head up.
My sympathies go out to Kevin and his wife Kyra. I'm sure their loss was in the millions. I doubt they will recoup any of their loss. Madoff will most likely spend the rest of his days under house arrest. Since he is a 'big fish' he will not spend much if any time behind bars where he should go. Our legal system protects slim bags like him unfortunately.
