Britney Spears told "Dateline" she needs hubby Kevin Federline because she's an "emotional wreck," but from his cross-country antics it looks like all K-Fed wants right now is a good party.

Last week in Miami, Federline spent his days with Britney and Sean Preston, but come nightfall he hit the South Beach clubs alone.

Last night the budding rapper was out on the town once again, this time in NY, without his better half. TMZ caught Kevin hanging out, sans the very pregnant Britney, at a party hosted by Nicky Hilton in Manhattan.

While Federline is out promoting his new album- which drops in August- he might want to start paying more attention to Mommy Spears before he gets dropped.

Perhaps it's no co-incidence that that's the exact amount the aspiring rap star reportedly was paid to record an album and tour in Japan. All he does is work on his music and try to find ways to get out, a source told the mag. That is all he cares about. It has taken a big toll on their marriage because he's not always there for her and he used to be.

What's more, Spears suspects that K-Fed is responsible for some of the leaks to the tabloids about the couple's private lives. Britney knows Kevin tells his friends information, knowing they will leak it to tabloids, a source close to Spears told Us. She has taken to not telling her hubby certain things including that she was going to announce her pregnancy on David Letterman for fear the info would be leaked to his buddies. They sell stories for money. ... She is sick of him using her for them to profit.

The former backup dancer is expecting his second child with wife Britney Spears (he has two others with a former girlfriend) but a source says K-Fed might have more reason than many to celebrate the pitter patter of little feet.

Before he got married, Kevin was sitting down with lawyers, discussing legal and financial issues, says a source. He was sitting sort of slumped over with a baseball cap over his eyes and a lawyer was talking about how he had to sign a pre-nup and Kevin looked sort of bummed out. But then the lawyer explained that for every child the two of you have together, you would receive X amount of dollars. His eyes really lit up.

That's because the Enquirer reports Kevin Federline recently got so K-Fed up with Britney Spears' healthy eating habits (!) that he caused a scene in a Malibu grocery. Britney reportedly warned Kevin against loading their cart with junk food such as chips, soda, frozen pizza and cookies. But the "Lose Control" rapper did just that when Britney tried to put two boxes of "low-fat, high-fiber granola" in the cart. He grabbed the healthy eats and flung them full force into the cart, causing one box to explode into a spray of health-food confetti. He reportedly also shouted, "I hate that [bleep]! I think it's totally fair and justified. I know if it were me, I would have kept those kids until last minute, not rush and hand them over the judgment was given, and I would be at court EARLY and make sure that you are in compliance with everything that was originally requested. It's kind of obvious she's a drug addict if she won't submit to drug testing. If you are on drugs, you have no business raising children. I don't care who you are, or how much money you have- it doesn't make you a good parent having those things. You can be the best parent in the world and have no money. I think she wanted kids because they become a novelty item, and once she realized that she actually has to do work with them and raise them properly, decided that it wasn't as fun as it seemed- and now she's lost the only two people that genuinely love her unconditionally. It's too bad because those boys never deserved her as a mother and it's a shame because there are so many people out there who would jump at the chance to have a child and she could care less.
