Funny now that they've split up, Kevin emerges as the better half. Who knew? I never cared for him before but I feel a lot of empathy for him now that we have glimpsed into their lives. But for Brit Brit all I feel is disgust. And angry that she continues to be a role model for girls and young women. I don't think the judge will take the children away from any of the two. They will share custody, and as such, Britney being the one with the most money will HAVE TO pay child support to KEVIN so the kids will continue to live the lifestyle they have grown acustomed to. Don't you people know anything about family law?? Geez...
In order for Kevin to lose TOTAL physical custody of the children, Britney has to prove that he has been abusive to the children, or will be a danger to the physical and psychological well-being of the children. But that is going to be tough to prove because:
-Shar Jackson (the mother of his two older children) will testify that he is a good father.
-Psychological tests will be carried out by court-appointed professionals, who will most likely determine that Kevin does not have an abusive/agressive personality (people that know Kevin have only nice things to say about him).
-With his "rapping" career pretty much over, it will be pointed out that Kevin now has all the time in the world to be a stay-at-home dad (unlike his ex-wife, who is planning to go back on the road soon).
-And, oh yeah, there is no video or photographs of Kevin putting his children's life in danger (on the other hand, such videos and photographs starring Britney will be used against her in court). And the fact that there aren't a lot of pictures of Kevin with his children is not proof that he is an absent father. It is just proof that he did a better job of shielding his children from the paparazzi.
So in the end, the best case scenario for Britney is joint custody. Which means: Kevin gets paid anyhow.
