Why Kiefer Went Off...

Don't mess with Jack Bauer! Especially if he's had a drink or two!
Kiefer Sutherland reportedly headbutted Proenza Schouler designer Jack McCollough at a party following Monday night's Costume Institute Gala, according to the New York Daily News.
The altercation was reportedly sparked after the designer pushed Brooke Shields. Kiefer demanded an apology (apparently he was trying to protect her honor) and when McCollough refused, that's when things got physical.
Now here's the strange part, some reports say that McCollough and Brooke are actually great friends (she's often seen wearing Proenza Schouler on the red carpet) and that Kiefer's actions are just plain nuts! Brooke's peeps are even defending McCollough saying it was a big misunderstanding and that "nothing happened to her."
McCollough, for his part, is claiming that Kiefer was "drunk and acting obnoxious and wouldn't back down or be logical."
It's apparently well known around Hollywood that Kiefer can be kind of a hot-head when he's had a few too many.
So what's the deal? Cops are going to have to figure that out. They're expected to interview all the parties involved by the end of the week.

Another site is reporting that the cops report so far, supports Kiefers side of the story. Witnesses have backed his story.

JUST LOOK AT HIM PEOPLE!!! HE'S FREAKIN KIEFER SUTHERLAND!!! ONE OF THE SEXIEST (IF NOT THE SEXIEST) MAN IN HOLLYWOOD. He is one of MANY actors and actresses dealing with drug and/or alcohol addiction. I dont think he's a bad guy but sometimes good people make bad decisions especially when under the influence. He has take responsibility for his actions before and Im sure he will again.

Kate Moss who is known to have a coke problem has also been convicted of drug use and possession in the past. Marc Jacobs has also gone public with his cocaine problem and has not always been well behaved and they were both co-chairs of the event. Dont fool yourself Keifer wasnt the only one with an abuse problem or past he just happen to get into a now very public situation.
Ugh! How embarrassing for his girlfriend that brought him to the event. Kiefer was drunk and head butted a decent guy for nothing.
sadly, substance abuse is rampant in the fashion industry, but abusers put themselves at risk and go eventually to rehab.
on the other hand, Kiefer Sutherland had 3 DUIs and is a danger to others, so he was jailed, Kate Moss or Marc Jacobs were not.
everyday, we read about actresses / actors or pro athletes facing charges of DUIs, domestic violence... when it is not rape or murder - fashion does not need that
Keifer Sutherland is a violent drunk who was obviously out of control once again. I hope he goes back to jail. He should be ashamed of what he did and for poor role model he has become. Clean up your act. Jack your amazing and so are your clothes!!!
Jack McCollough of Proenza Schouler along with his partner Lazzaro are amazing talented designers. They are a class act. Perhaps Keifer could learn something from them. I am sorry this happened and hope Keifer gets what he deserves more time spent in prison.
