Lane Garrison Faces Charges

Lane Garrison's used to being watched by millions of people, but he spent yesterday in court in front of an audience of one - Judge Elden Fox. The day didn't see much legal action - since Garrison failed to enter a plea, the biggest moment came when Judge Fox reduced Garrison's bail to $100,000 and pushed the arraignment date back to April 11 - but don't go thinking Garrison got off easy; after leaving court, Garrison was taken to the Beverly Hills Police Station to be fingerprinted and photographed.
X17 was there as Garrison was escorted by his lawyers back to his car; once again, the actor didn't have any comments to make, but he appeared contrite and heartfelt in the appreciation he sent out to his fans. We'll be on this story as long as it keeps developing, so stay tuned!

Mario Lavandeira, aka Perez Hilton, won round two in his court battle with a major Hollywood photo agency yesterday, when a judge ruled that the Gossip Gangster can continue to run his website while the $7.5 million case is being decided.
The paparazzi agency wanted PerezHilton.com shut down pending the result of the lawsuit.
Last month, a judge denied Perezzle's attempt to have the case dismissed.
Hilton, who runs the popular gossip website PerezHilton.com, was sued back in December after the agency claims he ignored warnings to stop using its images without permission. Hilton is known for taking celebrity pictures and making amusingly crude drawings on them.
"The court's ruling is further validation of our client's position in this dispute," Hilton's lawyer, Bryan J. Freedman, tells TMZ, "We continue to believe that Mr. Lavandeira ultimately will prevail on the legal merits at the time of trial in this matter."
Calls the photo agency were not immediately returned.

I feel sorry for this guy. Mainly because he's young and he'll pay for what happened for the rest of his life. Everyone does stupid things when they are young and it's sad to see when something like this happens. It's also sad to see how Joe Simpson used to claim that Lane is like a son to him when his career was growing but as soon as shit hit the fan Joe Simpson kicked him to the curb.

I have NO sympathy for him - HE KILLED A FUCKING KID. Don`t blame the victim, hfffffff, they probably thought that he had an idea what was required to be a responsible adult. They were starstruck to be partying with someone who is almost famous, and would have done ANYTHING to be that cool, just once. He is totally at fault. No matter how much you want to fuck him because he`s almost famous, hfffffff. Now he has gone from being almost famous to being famous because he KILLED A CHILD. Great career move. He needs a looooong stay in a real prison to consider the consequences of his actions. And you need a lobotomy, by a real surgeon, if you think he deserves any sympathy.
Imagine feeling the horrible guilt that you ACCIDENTALLY killed someone, took a son away from parents...yes, he was under the influence but he didnt intentionally kill the boy. we all know that drugs and alcohol make us do stupid, stupid shit. My heart goes out to the family of the boy he killed as well as him. His penance from God is his guilt and regret. Alot of people commit crimes and dont give a shit about the victim. Dont judge-
I see no difference between the person who gets in their car after having a few drinks and gets home safely to the person who gets into their car after having a few drinks and kills someone.
Anyone who drink drives doesn't hope they will kill someone on the way home. I have zero tolerance for alcohol abuse but I do feel compassion for Lane Garrison as well as the victim because I don't see him as any different to anyone who has gotten home safely after drink driving or who has even lost their liscence after drink driving. The intent is identical.
It is a terrible tragedy.
