It's been a tough year for The Hills star Lauren Conrad - who tells Seventeen that she came "dangerously close to not doing season three" - with BFF Heidi Montag leaving her for Spencer and ex-boyfriend Jason Wahler getting engaged. Why did she almost quit the MTV hit? "I really didn't want to do the show with Heidi and Spencer... I don't want to be grouped with them," says Lauren. Any possibility of a truce? Not in Conrad's mind! "The producers keep letting Heidi and Spencer think there's some hope [that we'll make up]," she declares.
Good riddance, Heidi - we're on Team Lauren!
How long do y'all think this Jason Wahler "engagement" will last before he gets back with Lauren? We'll see!

Notice that she didn't quit. She know that without the show and its attendant publicity (which she keeps going) she would simply be the next MTV has been like Jessica Simpson.
I LOVED the last show when Heidi's co-worker dismissed her. Heidi's face expressions are priceless whever she is confused about what's happening. Her eyes dart around and you can tell she is saying what? what? what? in her mind. Too funny.

team heidi. lauren seems fake & self obsessed. i think heidi just got sick of being laurens shadow. good for heidi for stepping out on her own. she seems like a mature genuine person. she is stunning as well. she may not be as photogenic, but she is indeed charasmatic.
I know Spencer and have been friends with him for 6 years. You shuold know that him and Heidi spend a few hours each night posting positive comments about themselves. They obviously use annonymous names but, they are so self absorbed that they want people to think they have support. They also would sell their own parents into slavery for fame. All they talk about it what they can do to become famous. They have staged so many things. Also, they don't have a pot to piss in. Spencer doesn't make any money with his company Innovator Management and Heidi can't quit her $36,000 dollar per year job at Bolthouse. They live in an aprtment because they can't afford a house, they have leased cars and Heidi beggs the MTV to let her have clothes from the show. They really are pittiful and would stab anybody in the back for money or for a shot at being famous. Look at what Heidi did at work. Brent gave her that job because they thought she would get the company more publicity because of the show. Not because she deserved it, it was all part of a plan for them to keep Bolthouse in the spotlight. Again, Heidi and Spencer hate being Z list REALITY SHOW EXTRAS.
