That's the problem, neither LR nor EC have ever said that they were in a BAD RELATIONSHIP. This is just another attempt to justfy their actions by blaming DS and BG. Their relationships couldn't have been as bad as you are trying to portray because they continued to stay, even when they were given several opportunities to leave/file for a divorce(ie-when it was exposed, when EC wife left him, and before they went public). And EC even went to therapy, if you want out of a relationship you don't go to therapy. It sounds like EC wanted a wife and a mistress, and had no intentions of ever leaving his wife. Now he will have to marry LR,something he probably didn't want. But he is going to make the best of it, right.

No one is saying that people should stay in bad relationships because of the kids. What people are saying is if you know a person is married leave it alone; if you say you care about your kids,then don't frolick on beaches with your mistress; end the first relationship before you jump into bed with someone; show some consideration for the people who were hurt by the lies and cheating, and don't gloat about sleeping with a cheater.
