This has to be her best year ever!
Girls creator Lena Dunham has been tapped to develop a TV project based on famed NYC stylist Betty Halbreich, who began her career working at the high-end department store Bergdorf Goodman in the seventies.
The rights to Halbreich's memoir All Dressed Up and Everywhere to Go were previously purchased by HBO, and Dunham will be teaming up with producer Jenni Konner on the yet untitled series.
So what kind of woman was the fashionista main character?
"She doesn't tell you that something is you, then you get home and try it on and it looks backwards. It's like shopping with a friend. With her, you never feel pressured. I do all my shopping through Betty unless I can get something wholesale," Joan Rivers gushed over her friend.
Miss Dunham is going to be one busy lady! In addition to her Golden Globe winning HBO show, she also has a collection of essays titled Not That Kind of Girl: A Young Woman Tells You What She's Learned that earned her a $3.5 million deal with Random House publishing.
We can't wait to watch!

Talk about getting in the middle of things!
Lena Dunham has spoken out against Rihanna and Chris Brown's relationship yet again, this time slamming the singer for getting back with her ex.
The Girls writer/star chatted with Alec Baldwin on his podcast and said she used to be a big fan of the Bajan beauty's music, but these days she's turned off. “It’s an amazing thing and it’s like, it’s a platform that you have to take seriously,” Dunham said.
“Which is why sometimes, it’s like, I used to be really into Rihanna, that pop star, and then it’s like again, I don’t want to ever throw stones from my glass house, but I follow her on Instagram and I just think about how many little girls beyond what I could even comprehend are obsessed with Rihanna. Like you know, she left Barbados, she’s had this amazing career, she’s won a Grammy… She’s talented. And then she gets back together with Chris Brown and posts a million pictures of them smoking marijuana together on a bed. And it cracks my heart in half in a way that makes me feel like I’m 95 years old.”
Last February Dunham tweeted, "Rihanna and Chris Brown's new duets make me want to go hide under Gloria Steinem's bed for 72 hours." Maybe Lena will write in a joke about their relationship in the next season of Girls? After all, she's gotten a bit political so far this season, so what's to stop her from putting in a few pop culture references?
