Former supermodel Linda Evangelista has reached a settlement in her child custody case with French billionaire Francois-Henri Pinault, her son's father.

According to the New York Post, the two reached an agreement via telephone this morning. No details of the settlement have emerged but both parties are expected to return to court tomorrow to finalize the specifics in writing.

Evangelista, 46, was reportedly asking Pinault, 49, for upwards of $46,000 a month for their 5-year-old son Augustin, a figure that included $15-16,000 a month for gun-toting, ex-NYPD detective chauffeurs, plus a 24-hour nanny costing almost $7,000 a month. The model denied that amount in court just a week ago.

The news comes as Evangelista was ready to give her second day of testimony in the high-profile case, one that would have touched on delicate topics such as Pinault's request to abort the baby.

The French businessman was revealed to be the father of Augustin last year. He also has two other children from a previous marriage and a 4-year-old daughter Valentina, who he had with current wife Salma Hayek.

Linda Evangelista kept her look conservative while heading to a Manhattan family courtroom to face her ex French billionaire Francois-Henri Pinault.

The 46-year-old supermodel is seeking child-support payments of $46,000 per month for their 5-year-old son. Evangelista claims Pinault "suggested she terminate the pregnancy."

Pinault, who also has a child with his current wife Salma Hayek, said in court that he was "not involved in the decision" as to whether Evangelista kept the baby.

As for how Evangelista reacted to Pinault's alleged abortion insinuations, her lawyer told the courtroom, "She would support the child herself, since he had made it perfectly clear to her that he had no interest in doing so."

Evangelista claims she has been supporting the child on her own.

Evangelista made the request in Manhattan Family Court on Monday, reports The New York Post.

Pinault (left, with Hayek) CEO of the conglomerate that owns Gucci, is the father of Evangelista's 4-year-old son, Augustin James. But, he has never paid Evangelista any support. He has been married to Salma Hayek since February 2009 -- they have 3-year-old daughter Valentina together.

"He's [Pinault] just been sitting back, paying zero," Evangelista's lawyer, William Beslow told Support Magistrate Matthew Troy.

"That would probably be the largest support order in the history of the Family Court," Troy said.

Linda Evangelista has kept the identity of the father of her 4-year-old son, Augustin James, a secret, until now.

The supermodel's baby's daddy happens to be billionaire Frenchman Francois-Henri Pinault, who is currently married to Selma Hayek and was expecting a child with her at the same time, the New York Post reports.

Evangelista initially claimed the father was "a New York architect," but Pinault's name started circulating in 2007, and Page Six, spotted the supermodel heading to court on Thursday to set up a support agreement with Pinault.

The CEO of the $28 billion conglomerate, which owns Gucci, Bottega Veneta and Yves St. Laurent, didn't make it to court but his lawyer, David Aronson, explained after the meeting, "We had understood that it was to be a brief, telephone conference, to bring Magistrate Troy up to date on what the status was."

Selma gave birth to Valentina Paloma Pinault on September 21, 2007, and Evangelista welcomed baby Augustin on October 11, 2006.

Apparently no agreement was reached in court between Linda and Francois, so there may be a trial this fall.

It's not like either woman is "fat", they've just got more of a "thin-fat" thing going on with all those extra chins!
