The first 90 days in recovery is tough. I think she should get some credit. When you stop drinking and drugging, no matter who you are, you have to take a good look at yourself, weather you like it or not! Some times it's not so nice, or easy. Try it some time.
When you stop...only then can you work on becoming a better person.
It may work for her, it may not. If not...at least she will know where to go when she hits bottom.
