Lindsay Lohan May Be Banned From India

Lindsay Lohan may be banned from ever being able to visit India again after failing to obtain a work visa when she visited the country to shoot a BBC documentary last December.
The Telegraph reports that Indian officials are currently studying her case and will decide whether or not Lohan will be placed on an "immigration blacklist" banning her from entering the country again.
Lohan drew criticism for the trip after claiming on Twitter that she had "saved" 40 children in a raid in India after it was revealed she arrived in the country days after the raid had taken place.

She attempted to take credit for work that NGO’s and government officials planned for months and deftly executed before her plane landed. She trivialized the issue as something that could be dealt with by "one day’s work". India is a sovereign nation and has the right to ban her from returning, if the government believes it is in the nation's best interest. Humanitarian work is too important to be used by a dilettante as a vehicle for image rehabilitation and propaganda.
