BREAKING NEWS - Lindsay Lohan Sentenced To 90 Days In Jail!

Judge Marsha Revel just sentenced Lindsay Lohan to 90 days in jail beginning July 20, as the 24-year-old actress was found to be in violation of probation stemming from her back to back DUI arrests in 2007. After missing seven alcohol education classes at Right On Programs in Glendale, California, Judge Revel announced the harsh sentence as Lindsay broke down in the Beverly Hills Courthouse.
In addition to three months in county jail, Lindsay must go to inpatient treatment for 90 days immediately after her sentence is up, and her probation has been extended as well. Lindsay's SCRAM bracelet must stay on until she turns herself in on July 20, and as expected, Lindsay is forbidden from drinking alcohol or getting behind the wheel of a motor vehicle.
When Cheryl Marshall, co-owner of Right On Programs was cross-examined earlier in the day, she testified that Lindsay had missed nine classes, but after going back over pages and pages of records, it was determined that Lindsay had missed a total of 7 of the 27 weekly classes she was supposed to attend. Lindsay's attorney Shawn Chapman Holley tried to argue that Lindsay was on track to finish the program by July 15, but Judge Revel wouldn't accept the answer, telling the court, "Nowhere did I say substantial compliance would be good enough." Though Lindsay attempted to make up for the classes, she disobeyed the judge's direct order to attend them on a weekly basis, and she provided a variety of excuses and took leaves of absence which were not allowed by the court.
Revel was also very critical of the reports Right On Programs submitted to Lindsay's progress hearings over the past 6 months, as they were found to be not entirely accurate. Revel specifically cited one report on Feb 16, 2010 which stated Lindsay was in compliance, but failed to note that she had missed dates on January 7, 13 and February 14, 2010. It seems as though the program's apparent lack of concern for the court order (not to mention their shoddy record keeping -- the prosecutor pointed out numerous clerical errors and Marshall even admitted her company's records were "confusing") combined with Lindsay's lack of respect for the court were what made up Revel's mind.
Lindsay begged the judge to have mercy on her, tearfully explaining that she thought she was in compliance with the terms of her probation. "I did everything that I was told to do. I did the best I could to balance my jobs and showing up," Lindsay told Judge Revel. "I'm not taking this as a joke. It’s my life ... I don't want you to think that I don't respect you, I mean that with all my heart."

I thought the judge would be lenient again, but I am pleasantly surprised. But to how many days is 90 days going to work out anyways. We KNOW it won't be 90 days. However, I will say this is a deserved jail sentence, the girl doesn't understand the consequences of her actions and this shows her she can't just do whatever she wants.

Despite the fact that she did fail to be as diligent as she should have, trust me when I say that this is no big victory of the LA D.A. in the grander scheme of things. LA County DA has a terrible track record for dismissing counts against recividists with hard core criminal histories because they simply lack the manpower and staff to adequately address these offenders.Perhaps, devoting this much time and effort to what really does amount to a minor case (in the broader sense)explains why. Truth be told, their office couldn't survive if they didn't plea bargain rediculously. LL is someone who needs to be more conscientous and should not get her license back anytime soon, but 90 days? Seriously, don't waste the states time and jail space when the DA OR's offenders for attempted murder and other serious felonies frequently. What she did was serious but pales in comparison to the offenses that are being committed by offenders who pose a more substantial threat to the community. She would be more low on the totem pole of priorities if they weren't making a public statement because of her noteriety, which is one thing, but gives the public the impression she is being treated harshly because of addiction, which might not be any better for their image. Friends of Lindsay Lohan tell TMZ ... they fear for her safety -- even her survival -- during her two weeks of freedom before going to jail.
The judge could have sent Lindsay to the slammer immediately, but instead gave her until July 20 to turn herself in. Friends worry that Lindsay is now fully off the hinges and may not be able to resist the drugs and alcohol.
The catch-22 -- if Lindsay falls off the wagon she could end up getting even more jail time. Even worse, her friends worry Lindsay could become so irrational she could harm herself.
Lindsay's Prescription Drug -- Stronger than Morphine
Lindsay Lohan has a current prescription for a drug she's technically allowed to take despite her drug testing requirement -- and it's several times stronger than morphine ... TMZ has learned.
According to sources familiar with Lindsay's most recent probation report, LiLo has a prescription for Dilaudid -- an extremely powerful painkiller ... often compared to morphine ... and even heroin.
As long as she has the prescription, Lohan is in the clear to pop the painkiller -- presuming she follows the dosage guidelines. We're told a doctor wrote the prescription after Lindsay's recent dental surgery. We do not know the quantity the doctor prescribed.

Lets get real, she's not going to do 90 days. Unless the judge specifies otherwise, with good behavior and over crowding she'll be out in 18 to 24 days. She's going to be alone in a private cell, complete with her own shower. This girl is not going to be in general population "roughing it" with the rest of the inmates.
