Michael Lohan just admitted in court that he's been a deadbeat dad.

Michael went before a judge today in Nassau County, NY -- after Dina Lohan claimed he had fallen 7 months behind in child support.

The hearing was closed and no one said how much Michael was in arrears.

Back in November TMZ broke the story that Michael was $15,100 behind in child support payments.

We're told Michael fessed up to being 7 months behind and promised the judge he'd become current by the time he's back in court on March 24.

The charity bash (all money from which will be going to the Red Cross for the victims of the Haiti earthquake) will take place in two parts; firstly there’ll be a screening of the awards live at Mill Bank cinema after which Lindsay will be hosting a party at the River Rooms where she’ll be giving away lots of prizes to paying punters.

Those prize include; a first class trip to LA for seven nights INCLUDING A NIGHT OUT WITH LOHAN, and they’ll also be giving away an old dress worn by the actress at a recent celebrity event.

Oh goodie; a second hand dress which no doubt reeks of cigarettes and desperation! Let’s hope they’ve given it a good dry clean before giving it away.

Dina Lohan charged that deadbeat ex Michael Lohan hasn't paid child support in nearly a year.

Michael Lohan is a deadbeat dad.

"It's almost been a year without child support," Dina Lohan said after a closed door meeting with her ex-husband in Nassau County Family Court on Tuesday.

The parents of troubled starlet Lindsey Lohan have been squabbling over court-ordered child support payments. It's unclear how much Michael Lohan owes, but TMZ.com reported it was more than $15,000.

"I just want him to do the right thing. I just want him to take care of his kids," Dina Lohan said after the meeting. "This isn't about us. It's about his children." "No one wants a war," she said. "I don't want to be here more than anyone else in this building. It's a very sad place."

Michael Lohan, 49, is due back in court on March 24. His lawyer, John Pedranghelu, said Lindsay's infamous dad plans to pay up. "He's promised to do so," he said. "We've heard that before. Hopefully he'll be true to his word and the parties can go forward. Nobody wants to be here but he has a duty and obligation to support his children and that's why we're here."
