Lindsay Lohan's Lawyer: "Lindsay Has Changed For The Better"

Shawn Chapman Holley gave a brief statement after court where she said her client has changed for the better during the last month-and-a-half she spent first in jail, then rehab.
"Lindsay has changed. She’s healthy, clear-headed, positive and looking forward to beginning anew," Holley said outside of the Beverly Hills courtroom. "Anyone would have changed after going through what she’s gone through in the past month-and-a-half."
Holley also says that the judge has dismissed two of the under the influence counts on Lindsay's record because she "complied with all of her alcohol classes."
As part of her ongoing treatment, Lindsay will be required to continue her treatment on an outpatient basis. "Lindsay will be in a lot of therapy," says Holley, "Psychotherapy as well as a 12 step program, but will also allow her time to work which is positive."
She also revealed that UCLA doctors "started fresh" with Lindsay, conducted their own analysis and found that there was no need to keep her at the facility any longer than her 22 days. Holley says Lindsay complied with everything that was asked of her and basically was a model patient!
Lilo's lawyer went on to say that "She’s really looking forward to beginning anew and having a productive life and schedule. Hopefully you will all support her now as she moves forward, just as you did during her dark times."
Although Lindsay is very much looking forward to getting back to work, Shawn Chapman Holley says Lindsay does NOT plan on attending the Machete premiere tonight because she doesn't want to make her first post-jail appearance something quite so "splashy."
But Lindsay does love a party, and what a great way to return to the scene!

Lohan said her rehab stint was a sobering and humbling experience. “It made me look at myself and all of the people, places and things in my life in a different way,”
Lindsay said she is cutting out all the people from her life that encouraged abuse. “Those are the ones who are around me for the wrong reasons. The people who want to go out and party, that’s not what I am about now.”
LOL.....this was THREE years ago.....get ready for the same BS in her first sit-down interview.

A day after the troubled starlet was sprung early from rehab, a judge outlined a rigorous probation program: four psychotherapy sessions, two addiction counseling sessions and five 12-step meetings a week.
He also dismissed two cocaine charges from her back-to-back 2007 DUI cases and said she can go on unsupervised probation in November if she follows the rules.
"It appears she is very serious about her sobriety," Superior Court Judge Elden Fox said at a hearing that Lohan did not attend.
"She is very serious," Lohan's lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, responded.
"She looks forward to proving to the court and (prosecutors) that she is serious...She has learned her lesson and wants to move on in a positive way."
Lohan's lawyer said outside the courthouse that her client was discharged early from UCLA's Neuropsychiatric Hospital because doctors thought 23 days of treatment - as opposed to the 90 ordered by the court - were enough.
Fox agreed but ordered random twice-a-week drug and alcohol testing and ordered her to stay in Los Angeles until Nov. 1.
Her mom, Dina Lohan, has said the "Mean Girls" actress wants to bolt to the Big Apple, saying it's a healthier environment than Hollywood.
Lohan, 24, was sentenced to 90 days in jail and 90 days of rehab last month after a judge found she violated probation by missing alcohol education classes.
She served 14 days in jail due to good behavior and overcrowding.
"The judge allowed her to leave \[rehab\] early only because the treating doctors at UCLA felt that she had done everything that had been required of her there," Holley said.
"The doctors very soon recognized that (90 days) was completely unnecessary...There was no need for her to be there."
She said Lohan's outpatient program will allow her time to work - a "positive" part of her recovery.
"She has changed. She's healthy, clear-headed. She's positive and looking forward," Holley said. "All of this prompted a change. Anyone would change after going through what she's gone through."
Lohan told Holley she wouldn't attend the "splashy" screening of her new movie "Machete" later Wednesday and will instead be focusing on her recovery.
Lohans are trying like crazy to re-package her to the public so she can keep earning dollars.

Lindsay Lohan as she parties until 7am... directly AFTER session at court-ordered alcohol education class
As part of her probation for driving under the influence, Lindsay Lohan has to attend court-ordered alcohol education lessons.
So after finding out about the dangers of drinking, Lohan apparently shrugged off anything she had learned and headed out for an all-night bender.
Celebrating the Mexican holiday Cinco De Mayo, the 23-year-old finally ended her epic night out at 7.15am yesterday morning.
The starlet started her Wednesday night with her mother Dina at the Las Palmas nightclub in Hollywood.
After the pair celebrated until 2.30am, Lohan parted ways with her mom and headed off to nightclub owner Darren Dziencoli's Beverly Hills home, where she continued partying until after sunrise.
Leaving Dziencoli's home at 7.15am, Lohan looked more than ready for bed as fortunately kept her balance as she tottered into her chauffeur-driven car home.

After a weekend of partying FOLLOWING her DUI citation, Lohan checked into Promises treatment center in Malibu on Memorial Day.
A reporter from People magazine contacted Lindsay on Wednesday shortly after she checked in to Wonderland. Lindsay said,
"I'm doing so great…I'm fine. Nothing to worry about. Thank you so much for checking in, I do appreciate it. I'm actually watching American Idol at the moment and laughing so hard!"

Here's what she's got to do:
• Remain in California with L.A. her primary residence
• Undergo psychiatric treatment a minimum of four times a week
• Attend chemical dependency meetings (like A.A. or N.A.) at least five times a week as part of 12-step program
• Contact her chemical dependency counselor at least seven times a week
• Attend behavioral therapy twice a week
• Submit to random drug and alcohol testing two times per week
• Chapman must provide biweekly compliance reports to court
"She is not to miss any drug tests," Fox said after confirming Lohan was released from the Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital at the UCLA Medical Center sometime after 8 p.m. last night.
"Her attorney must provide the court with biweekly statements that these requirements are being met. Any missed tests or violations will result in 30 days in jail."
