Lindsay's Lawyer Admits She's "Disappointed" With Sentence

Shawn Chapman Holley, Lindsay Lohan's lawyer, is breaking her silence regarding Judge Marsha Revel's verdict against her client. Lohan was sentenced to 90 days in jail and 90 days in rehab for violating her probation.
In a statement released to X17online, Holley says:
- “Ms. Lohan and I are extremely disappointed in the sentence handed down by Judge Revel. We believe that the penalty is far harsher than what others would have received under similar circumstances. The reality is that Ms. Lohan, like most defendants, had to balance work commitments with court requirements. To be punished so severely for doing so, particularly in light of the fact that she substantially complied with each of her probationary conditions, is harsh and unfair. That said, Ms. Lohan is prepared to serve her jail time and to comply with the Court's orders."
As for Lindsay's oh-so-obvious nails written with "F**k U" on them, Holley explains it this way:
- “With respect to Ms. Lohan's nails, the fact is, the words could barely be seen by the naked eye. That a courtroom camera, purportedly there to accurately chronicle the proceedings, would use a telephoto lens to zoom in as it did to Ms. Lohan's fingernail is a commentary on the entire issue."
Actions speak louder than words. However, in this case, the words on her nails are pretty loud.

Most offenders get thrown in jail and lose their jobs. She had more than three years to finish those classes and she still didn't get it done. People graduate from college in less time. That lawyer is just making sure Lilo doesn't stop payment on her retainer check.

I'll bet she's not as disappointed as Lindsay is! Holley sat there and lied to the judge and supported Lindsay's lies so they both got what they deserved. She knows darn well that Lindsay's absences had nothing to do with her work and probably were drug related but she's still sticking to that story. She was probably hired because she was sympathetic to Lindsay's problems whereas others wouldn't buy her lies.

Jail is not necessarily a bad thing for Lindsay - rehab did not work - she might wake up and start thinking about her life, what went wrong and what to do now. also, taking prescription pills instead of 'street drugs' makes it legal but not better for her physical & mental health - jail might provide appropriate medical care
