According to The Playlist, Contagion will feature four noted Oscar nominees and winners with Kate Winslet, Matt Damon, Lindsay Lohan, and Jude Law rounding out the bunch. All the actors mentioned have deals being negotiated to star in the film that’s described as an action thriller. The story will center on the “outbreak of a deadly virus,” and will have a multi-strand storyline similar to Traffic.

The script for Contagion has been written by Scott Z. Burns, who previously penned The Informant! and The Bourne Ultimatum. Obviously, whatever he wrote in the film’s screenplay delivers, because it has a respectable group of actors on board ready to bring it to life. As for the much talked about Liberace, it will go into production in 2011 after filming on Contagion has wrapped.
