It's undeniable Lindsay needs help. Unfortunately, Dina is in denial, which is not helping anything. But for Michael to go to the media and publicize private conversation between him and Lindsay is a breach of trust. Is this really going to convince Lindsay to go to rehab or seek help. No, it might actually achieve the opposite. Michael lost all credibility years ago when he abused Dina and the kids and for him to betray this daugther this way is disgusting! I think it sucks that he let the media have the tapes, but I also think he felt he had no other choice if he wants to save his daughter!

I am not saying that I have any idea what is going on in either of these families but I do know that everyone is different and every situation is different. If he really wanted to help, when Linds called him after burglary, he could've used the opportunity to get close to her ,strengthen their relationship so that he could persuade her to seek treatment.
