Mom-agers

Do mothers meddle? Of course. But where do you draw the line between meddling and interfering? Ideally, kids want to be able to look up to their moms... so what happens when the moms are not only looking up to their daughters, but trying to be like them as well? Dina Lohan is probably the first example that comes to mind, but Lesley - mother to rising star Hayden Panettiere - isn't far behind. She's been accompanying Hayden everywhere! And what about the two Lynn(e)'s? Justin Timberlake's mom Lynn has always been influential in her pop star son's life (especially concerning his relationship with Cameron Diaz), and Britney's mother Lynne has committed her own share of "meddling." Are these kids - ahem, young adults - better off having their moms just be moms or their moms being their managers, too?

Parents should be parents and managers should be managers. And, ne'er the twain should meet. It is a conflict of interest for a parent to be a child-star's manager: they can't be objective.
They are def better off having their own personal lives stay personal, otherwise they just seem retarded, but that's my opinion

Most are just leeching off the child's money and fame. Especially Lohan and Spears.
It seems apparent that at one point these parents had a failed dream of being a "star" so they push their kids into this buisness to fufill their dream , alos with a big monetary gain . It is very sad and in a way child abuse . Dina Lohan is the worst culprit and a terrible mother if the word mother and her name can even be used in the same sentence

Lindsay's shoes...are absolutely hideous. I can't remember the last time I saw shoes that hideous. Everything about them is tacky - the style, the color, the freakishly high wedge heels. Normally I'd write something about how, yes, moms and dads should not double as managers, but all I can think about are those damn shoes.

I don't think any of them are managers. They may have been at some point but justin, lindsay have separate managers. Britney had one until she fired him. Don't know about Hayden. Ever thought that maybe they just like to hang out together.

Why are you including Britney's mom along with the others? She is the only mom that cared for her daughter. She tried to HELP Britney clean up her act many times. Unlike Linds mom who is an enabler. Brits mom is, in my opinion, the only one that really cares for her daughters well being.
