Interesting man for sure. I only wish I could have been more into my chem classes at that point (first year AP class). Actually, I've seen both Paolo Soleri and the Dalai Lama speak before, but those people were on a whole different plane of intelligence and wisdom. I almost worked under Soleri, pouring bronze bells, but the group that followed him lived in spartan commune setting (another friend calls them hippie commies-and he wasn't far from the truth!) . Funny, but the person who got me in to see the Dalai Lama was the same friend who almost became a casualty of the coke world. He cleaned up his act to say the least since then!
