As a photographer, myself I know that for a fact that if a person is outside of thier private residence they are legal game for a photographers lens no matter what the subject matter. A similar matter went to the Supreme Court a few years back and the case was ruled in favor of the photographer as the judges simply stated that "No illegal act had been committed against the privacy of an individual when that individual in is public view." Furthermore on a personal view. IF Spears didn't want snatch shots taken than she would have been wearing panties. Than again she's blonde so thinking isn't a dominate trait.

This is the deal.

The fact that Lindsay had physical proof and probably witnesses that saw Paris throw the drink at her, she could've had a case against Paris.

Elliot Mintz told Paris to "befriend" Lindsay after the incident so that Lindsay would have no case against Paris since she was seen hanging out with Paris after the incident. It's now Lindsay's word against Paris' and no court will believe Lindsay now since she was seen being friendly with Paris AFTER she got the bruise.

If Lindsay was smart, she would have gone straight to the police and made a report and she would've had a good chance of getting Paris arrested for assault. But, that's what drugs do to your judgment.
