ALOT of NA and CA people go to AA to get away from the NA/CA crowd. Also, drug dealers hang outside NA and CA meetings trying to sell drugs to people in recovery.

Wow. What part of Alcoholics ANONYMOUS don't you paps get? Leave her alone at an AA meeting. Even if you're not leaving her alone for Lindsay's sake, think about the other people there trying to get recovery that don't want their face all over the internet cuz of you dicks. The gym? Fine. The beach? Fine. But leave the AA meetings ANONYMOUS, wouldja please?

Lindsay Lohan was allegedly drunk and had cocaine in her system during an early morning smash-up in Beverly Hills on Memorial Day weekend.

According to multiple law enforcement sources, toxicology reports conclude that Lohan, 20, had "nearly twice the legal limit" of alcohol and traces of blow in her bloodstream when she crashed her 2005 Mercedes SL-65 convertible into a curb on Sunset Blvd. around 5:30 AM on May 26. In California, drivers with a .08 or higher are legally drunk.

Police tell TMZ Lohan and two other adults were in the car at the time of the accident. After the crash, she was taken to a local hospital and treated for minor injuries, then placed under arrest on suspicion of DUI. Cops later said they found a "usable amount" of cocaine in the car.

We're told that the Beverly Hills Police Dept. could present the case to the Los Angeles D.A. in the next few days.

So, does this girl not deserve the anonymity assured to members of AA? To the argument of 'oh she's just acting' - perhaps that is her angle - people don't find their way to those rooms without being up against some wall, most people with long term sobriety didn't just wake up and go, aww i'll go ahead and check out aa, they're usally driven in by flamethrowers of some sort, such as an upcoming hearing, probation, or some other kind of doomed scenario, and then hang around when/if they figure out that there is something good for their life there.
as far as anonymity - it would have sucked being someone else at that meeting trying to walk out or in those doors.

Having never attended an AA meeting, I may not know what I am talking about BUT I thought that the anonymity only applied to the meetings themselves and not anything that happened in public view.

drama queenie, you do have a point, but still, it isn't right to make a major announcement that she is in an aa meeting, and then call out her name and try to profit off of it, that is just pure tactless greed, in my opinion, can't they just save their picture taking for the red carpet, beach, even shopping, if they must. She is there because it is a part of her treatment in her rehab, although 12 step programs are not affiliated with rehabs, the rehabs often make their clients go to meetings as part of the treatment program. why do the paps want to film that? they have plenty of other photos. i only see x17 stooping so low.

Anonymous @ 12:48 PM: What upsets me more than the paps' treatment Lohan (she does invite it) is the fact the other people who are simply trying to get their lives in order are also being sucked into her publcity whirlpool.
They probably did not ask for this attention and, most likely, would rather not have their picture taken at an AA meeting.

Keep in mind too that often times they work hand in hand. Publicity reps tip off the paps. They work hand in hand. Both profit off of other people's misery.

Anyway Paris' predicament showed that she did not escape justice. The same will happen with Lohan simply because they have a zero tolerance now. The question is her latest stunt regarding being pregnant also an attempt to escape from jail. If she does go to jail then no one else can help her... except herself. Thus the irony in all of this. No one can help her... except herself.

Lisa @ 1:12 PM: This is part of the reason why I say that Lohan invites the publicity. She hired the publicist; she's responsible for the publicist's conduct regarding her.
Like so many folks, she has no conception about other people's feelings and sensibilities. For example, her giggling at being recognized. Yet, notice the discomfort of the others.
This disregard for other people is what is so reprehensible about this video.
