Judging from some of the comments I heard as I left the Ungaro show this afternoon, she can expect a savaging.

How could it be when the pair, chiefly Archs, had only three weeks to pull it together? Ungaro himself, who founded his house in 1965, must be horrified at the arrogance of even thinking it could be done. He would have spent that time on a single piece. The best that can be said is that they tried.

There were some truly hideous fashion faux pas. Silver sequinned "pasties", for example, belong in a lap dancing club unless you subscribe to a Jordan-esque dress code. The dresses were too short.

And on three occasions straps fell off shoulders, or boobs suddenly swung out form tuxedo jackets, which was a little unlucky, bit did not look too professional.

The thigh-skimming dresses in peach, hot pink and white seemed designed for a Malibu Beach party, while sparkling nipple pasties flashing from underneath loose blazers were a reminder of Lohan's own occasional wardrobe mishaps.

"It's not good to show your nipples so they should be covered," Lohan told Reuters, referring to the heart-shaped pasties.

But her appearance was also a reminder of the risks faced by luxury brands who tie their image to that of a celebrity.
