I don't see how it's Lindsay's fault if the rehab center allowed her to leave. Sounds like it's their lack of judgment. I don't think she should be allowed to leave, simply because I think she needs 30 days completely away from the paparazzi and also you are supposed to be cut off from the outside while in rehab so you can regroup and develop new ways of thinking, etc. It sounds like Promises is not as "serious" of a facility as they would like to have everyone believe. I think she needs to check in somewhere else where leaving is not allowed.

I would also like to know how her father knows that she is addicted to Oxycontin. I can see him speculating on the cocaine and alcohol, since that was published in the media, but the Oxycontin was never mentioned until he mentioned it. By all accounts, she does not even speak to her father, so how the hell would he know? I highly dount that if he called Promises that they would tell him, either. I have been in treatment recently. I admitted myself voluntarily, but there were still rules. Leaving the center for any reason resulted in immediate discharge with unsuccessful completion, UNLESS it was part of the treatment program. That did include outside AA meetings after a certain amount of time and always transported in a van with others in the program and with a counselor. I hope this was a meeting and not working out or a coffee run or a root touch up. I do think that this place is a joke and should be seriously investigated as fraudulent. May not be a bad idea to check the books and the degrees of the people that work there. I do think that the law should and probably will step in at some point. Since this is her first offense it may only be probation, but that would entail a probation officer and mandatory urine drops. I would also assume that any future work projects will require the same so that she can be insured. Big wake up call for her. The people that are supposed to care for her are all pretty much pieces of shit. As for the vodka sponsored birthday party, I hope it doesn't happen. I would still like to know why she wasn't taken to jail after being released from the hospital. Thought that would be protocol. Well no celeb mug shot of her . . .yet.
